Unit 5 Solaris is located just a 3-minute walk to Kings Beach & boasts excellent ocean views from inside the unit, balcony & exclusive rooftop. You can see over Kings Beach, the Caloundra Headland and across the ocean and shipping lanes. Having being recently refurnished in 2020, the unit offers comfortable and modern furnishings throughout.

Please note that this property does not have air conditioning, however there are ceiling fans installed.
Bookings made after the 26th of September 2025 will now supply linen, however guests will still need to make the beds. If booked prior to the 26th of September 2025 guests will need to supply their own linen or hire for an additional fee. You will need to bring your sheets and pillow cases, towels, hand-towels, bath mats, face washers and tea towels. Alternately if you would like to hire the linen, we can arrange this for you for an additional fee.

Enjoyed the stay
The unit is close to the beaches and we enjoyed the balcony views of the ocean and the regular ships passing by.
We didn't realise that no linen was provided but the linen hire service was prompt.
Enjoyed chilling out for the two days. Will certainly look at coming back in future.

Good Beachside stay
This is a great little apartment that suited our needs and was nice and close to the beach. Check in was simple. The apartment is on the 3rd floor without a lift, so keep that in mind if there are mobility issues you need to consider.

Disappointed
1. Property is run by a holiday centre real estate office.
2. No commincation other than a receipt. Had to call the afternoon of check in as I’d received no response to messages sent through Stayz. I had no way of knowing any check in information, after hours key collection etc because I was never sent any of it! 3. She told me over the phone that we had to supply our own linen (it’s 2020 people - no one does this with apartments anymore - supply bedding And towels and charge a cleaning fee). 4. Upon late arrival we walked into the apartment and were greeted by German cockroaches running around the kitchen,
5. black hairs in the bathrooms
6. and a different bedding configuration as shown on the stayz Website (queen, 2singles and a Hard wood trundle With a thIn foam mattress instead of a queen and double bunks which honestly made much more sense and would’ve been more comfortable and spacious as there was literally no floor space left to even walk between the beds with the trundle out)
7. No hand soaps, sanitiser or shower gels/shampoos/conditioners were provided.
8. There was no pantry for food storage. 9. There was only 1 tiny rubbish bin with 1 liner, no extra liners.
10. The tv was the size of a computer monitor- tiny!
11. There was no wifi (2020 reminder again).
All in all I honestly feel like the listing needs an overhaul and update to reflect the reality for guests holidaying in this century. The cockroaches were disgusting and no doubt living in the rotting cabinet wall behind the sink - probably time to replace that??
They’ve done an average job of decorating with Kmart accessories but it’s an aged apartment. With proper management and a little investment from the owners this place Has huge potential. As for us, we wouldn’t stay again. No hard feelings just open constructive criticism for (hopefully) the betterment of future Stay-erz

I am sorry to hear your disappointed review and that the property did not meet your expectations. We definitely appreciate the feedback and will take some of these things on board. I am terribly sorry about finding cockroaches + hair in the bathroom. We will follow this up absolutely but I can assure you that this is not the norm, and we have had no issues with cockroaches in this property before as we would of course do something about it! Sorry again for this.
I can confirm that we did send you a booking confirmation via email on the 13/07/20, I can see it was sent to the email address you received a receipt on. I can forward you a copy if you would like but all of the information relating to key collection and linen was in this confirmation and would have avoided some of your frustration for sure. I can only think that it has gone into your junk mail or out in cyber space somewhere but it was definitely sent to you. I still apologize that you did not receive it, but I am not sure what has happened there, it is strange.
It is not listed anywhere on the listing or on our website that the bedding configuration are 2 bunk beds from what I can see. It has never had bunk beds in that property so if you can please let me know where you saw this? I can only assume that perhaps you had looked at a different listing? as I just can't see where this would be showing.
This property is not resort accommodation (hence no linen or mini shampoos etc.) It is a more budget style of accommodation but we feel this is accurately reflected in the price hopefully, given it has great water views of Kings Beach, a rooftop, pool and can sleep up to 5 guests. The property is not advertised with Wi-Fi. There are still quite a few properties that don't offer this but we still will take this feedback on board for sure as it is a good addition to a property I agree. The owners have done quite a bit of work since purchasing the property this year so I do have to say that with respect the owners have made efforts to make the property nice and comfortable for holiday makers and had spent quite a bit of money to modernize it to their taste. It was fully painted this year, some furniture replaced + more, but of course, I do appreciate it is not a 5 star, brand new apartment, but I do feel this is reflected in the photos on the website which are only recent.
