Your home away from home awaits you in this diverse, beautiful and secure community. Costambar, a beach village shared by Dominicans and Expats from across the globe sets nestled among swaying palms lining a half moon reef-protected ocean pool. Close enough to hustle and bustle of Puerto Plata but just far enough removed to offer you a relaxing vacation with a true community feel.

Our one bedroom apartment is part of Residence Atlantic One, a clean and secure residential complex located within walking distance to beach, store and restaurants with a communal pool steps away. Our personal property manager is on hand for onboarding and rental emergencies. Laundry and maid service is available upon request. Wi-Fi is also available with 24 hour autonomous power. Water Jugs are provided at a minimal cost. Linens and bath towels are provided. Beach towels are not provided...

We offer accommodations for two adults comfortably (full size mattress) with futon option in living area. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware and dinnerware.

As we extend our hospitality we only ask that our home is respected and treated like it is also your new home away from home.

Wonderful Stay

The condominium was beautiful. It’s located in a quiet area across the street from a nice little restaurant that has very good Italian food. The pool and a cafe are just a few steps from stairs that lead up to the condo. The beach is only a ten minute walk from the condo as well as a small grocery store. Everything for a pleasant stay is in the condo and the surrounding area. I had great communication with the owner and the property manager was very personable and helpful. I highly recommend this property for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Very attentive owner as well as the property manager. Would rent again without hesitation. Parking situation is in need of attention, four spaces is definitely not sufficient.

Condo was as advertised on the web site.

The over all experience was great . Gretchen was very helpful and was available to answer any concerns that we had . The property was very well maintained from the landscape and the pool was cleaned every day. Location was good nice and quiet . Ricks Café was right on the property for a drink or a meal. The Condo had every think you would need for a great vacation well stocked . I would come back for sure.

Atlantic One in Costambar

Everything about this stay here was truly enjoyable. The owner was easy to deal with and the property manager is right on top of your stay here(and she speaks English too). The amenities here, including internet and TV, are just like being at home. The pool is pristine and the location is well suited to be half way between a beautiful beach and shopping at Jennies or playing golf at Los Mangos. The community is very safe and the food and local restaurants are really good. Taxi service is readily available and cheap. This is our second stay here at Atlantic One, and if we come back next year, we are coming back here.

Staying here was terrific

Everything was here. WiFi, TV swimming pool AC, Quiet large fans, all the necessary amenities to cook your own food a safe for your valuables. We hope to come back next year. That is how much we loved it. It was a quiet community halfway to the beach and the Super Market. No bugs and lots of hot water for your dishes and shower. Beautiful.

Very clean and well maintained apartment complex close to beach.

My wife and I enjoyed a week here for a vacation and really enjoyed our stay. Costambar is a very quiet little town with easy beach access, several resturaunts and a few little markets nearby. We really enjoyed Pedro's, their food was very delicious, they are located across from Jenny's supermarket. The staff here at Atlantic One and Rick's Café were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Bert

Quiet and comfortable

This last minute booking worked out quite well. I contacted the owner and had secured the apartment with 3 days to spare before my arrival. A last minute decision to go to the island at the end of May for a week is just what I needed. Gretchen responded very quickly and made arrangements for the property manager to get me a key. Everything in the add is as described. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen adequately supplied...not that I did much cooking but if I had to....I would be OK. The fans worked great for cooling when required and the air conditioner at night was a blessing. This is my 3rd stay in Costambar and my first stay at this location. Since it is low season the area was very quiet. The security at the building was great. Totally fenced and a key required to get in the gate. Enjoyed the music being played at Rick's Cafe's directly in front of the apartment. The level was just perfect for a quiet day of reading and basking in the sun. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation.

We took a chance on an charitable auction for a stay at Sam's in Puerto Plata some years ago and that led to visits to various spots on the North Coast, ultimately leading us to Costambar, our home away from home.
