We stayed for 3 days. We came to Lake Cascade to go ice fishing. For 3 guys it was perfect. Close to town and the Lakeside restaurant just down the street was a great place to eat! I will stay there again. Really clean. Great location
Great place to stay. We rented a snowmobile for fishing and the driveway was large enough to store the trailer during the stay. The cabin was close enough to Blue Heron State Park we could drive the sled daily to the hard water. Would definitely use this home again.
Things we really appreciated: Super clean, cute cabin. Treats like chips and salsa were a very thoughtful touch! Overall, very enjoyable experience.
Things to consider: Modem was unplugged which was inconvenient as we had no service upon arrival. This was a bit of a problem because we had a family emergency that we needed to respond to & had to find the modem because there’s no cell service in the area. Because the checkout procedure asks to turn thermostat to 55 degrees, the cabin was freezing upon arrival. It took some time to find the thermostat & figure out how to adjust the temp to a comfortable level.
Overall, the experience was great. Owners pay attention to details to make the stay enjoyable. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place
This place suited our needs well for our short weekend stay in Cascade. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and included sweet bonus touches like chips and homemade salsa. I wish I had paid closer attention to the lack of ac, it was really hot upstairs in the evenings. By morning it cooled off nicely with the windows open all night, but definitely something to consider in summer months. Again, that was my fault for not checking. My only real complaint were the lights under the bedroom window. We could not figure out any way to turn them off and they shone brightly (multi-colored and blinking) in the bedroom all night long. I did contact the owner, but got no response on this matter. Every other question I had over the weekend was answered promptly, however. There aren’t really any views to speak of at the property, but there are trees aplenty and the lake is very nearby. Overall, we appreciated being able to stay here and would recommend to others.
We went up to cascade from Boise to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our toddler. The cabin was so cozy and quiet it was a nice get away for the weekend. The complementary chips and salsa were a wonderful and yummy surprise! I did contact the property manager to let them know that there was a window that does not lock and i never received a response. I did make us uncomfortable because it was a ground level window so we did a little make shift locking system so we could sleep without worry. There are no window coverings on any of the windows downstairs either. The tv downstairs was broken, it wasn’t a big deal but it would have been nice to know before hand so we could plan for our toddler. They also store their kitchen knifes in a lower cabinet, which does not make for the most child friendly space. But overall we had a good experience.
This home was minutes from lake Cascade and the beautiful, quiet, setting we were looking for in our weekend away. There is no air conditioner so on hot days the upstairs, where the only bedroom is, is rather warm. The nice ceiling fan certainly helps with that.
Marti was great. Always available to answer questions. The location was perfect and loved the added treat of her homemade salsa!

We had a great stay here. We wanted to be close to ice fishing and this cabin is a perfect distance. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We used the kitchen to cook meals and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Loved the cabin! Very comfortable and homey feeling. The floor downstairs was very cold but the available house slippers were a nice added touch! The movie selection was very outdated and the lack of any kind of cable TV or streaming service was frustrating. But overall it was very quiet and well kept and a great place to rent for the weekend! I would stay there again for sure.
