About William Casa Farellones
My wife (Thai) and I (British) are semi retired and now divide our time between homes in Phuket, Thailand (our previous home/business base) and now, chasing the snow, in Big Sky Montana and Farellones, Chile.
William Casa Farellones purchased this Chalet in 2002
Why William Casa Farellones chose Farellones
After several year of searching Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile for the best Southern hemisphere resort to build a vacation / retirement home (based upon quality of skiing, reliability of snow, access to shopping and services etc) we eventually decided upon Farellones at the end of the the 2001 ski season. Since Farellones filled all of our requirements, save for availability of attractive property to purchase, we bough land, hired and architect and did this the hard (but rewarding) way.
What makes this Chalet unique
The huge open spaces, the uncrowded ski area. Total peace and relaxation. All home comforts brought to a relatively simple and underdeveloped area. The Snow. The Sun. Sitting in the hot tub watching the Condors circling on the thermals as the sun sets over Santiago.

Fantastic place
Nothing else in Farellones compares to Casa Farellones
Beautiful mountain retreat
We went to casa Farellones with my family for a long weekend of skiing and relaxing. We stayed in the middle apartment, that was very spacious and confortable! All the rooms had there own bathrooms and the living area was cosy and very confortable. The skiparks were very close by and going back and forth was super easy. The hottub and mountain views were spectacular! William was very helpful and we recieved logs for the fire and cleaning service everyday! I recomend this to anyone!
Thanks Sara. So glad to know that you enjoyed your time. I do look forward to your visiting again next year.
Great home, central, private...
William is great. You get daily housekeeping. Internet is serviceable, location central. You should have a car and be a strong snow driver and know how to put on / off chains. Williams assistant Sak was super helpful with chains and other items like loading our car and being helpful with the wood fired grill, I had never used a wood fired grill before, I'm never using charcoal again!!! Private and secluded. Very nice home. You won't be upset.
Great house in Farellones
Great house, great view, great experience!
We'll be back!!
Thanks Andrea. So glad you enjoyed your stay in Casa Farellones. I look forward to meet you again next year.
Exceptional Property - the place to stay when skiing all three- La Parva, El Colorado and Valle Neva
This was our third year skiing in Chile. The first at Valle Nevado, the next at Portillo (also exceptional), and this year staying in Farellones. Farellones provides the most options in terms of skiing and restaurants. And the Casa Farellones house is exceptional. Everything was clean and tidy. Great hot tub with an exceptional view looking down valley. Each evening we walked to dinner, so we could have a few drinks.
Great place.
Thanks James,
Most glad to hear that we met all your expectations.
Perfect
Everything was perferct!!!! Everybody very gentle. House is very cozy, warm, clean. really a luxury house, with every dollar! Hope to be back soon!!!
Thanks Daniel for the positive review, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip and found our property to be of good value.
Just two small points, that I do need to make for other potential guests. While we have made exceptions in the past we do generally not encourage pets.
And while our access and stairways are wide, we cannot claim any special facility for the disabled - and the hillside location should be considered carefully.
