Summary:

Curry House offers three stories of historic charm, transporting you back in time. The guesthouse features private rooms for comfort, along with common areas for socializing, including access to a large shared pool and outdoor entertaining space. With room for up to 4 guests and a one bathroom, this unique Old Town Key West gem is perfect for a family or couples getaway.



The Space:

Two rooms at Curry House are combined for your ideal Key West getaway! Each bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests. One room includes a private bathroom with a charming walk-in shower. Perfect for small groups, both rooms feature a mini fridge, balcony, and TV for added convenience and comfort.



Guest Access:

Guest will receive 2 unique access codes upon check-in. One code will be used to access the front door of the home. The second, will be used to access the room.



The Neighborhood:

Start your day with peaceful mornings on the front porch or balcony. From there, take a short walk to nearby attractions, restaurants, shops, and bars, or head toward the Historic Seaport for a day on the water. Ideally located between Downtown Key West and the Historic Seaport, Curry House is just 3 blocks from Duval Street and 2 blocks from the waterfront. You’ll be steps away from award-winning restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, craft cocktail spots, a local grocery store, and all your favorite Key West attractions.



Getting Around:

Park your car for the weekend and walk or bike your way around this completely accessible location. Or use the fenced in patio for parking your bike to get around town for the day. Unfortunately, no parking is included with your stay but Fleming Street is filled with free and pay-to-park spots. Key West is the best for all types of transportation including bikes, scooters, golf carts and more! Feel free to as us for recommendations!

- This guest room is apart of the larger Curry House Guesthouse that sleeps up to 18 guests.

- Complementary Coffee in the lobby.

- There is no access to the kitchen.

It was difficult to get to the pool, the door handle was very loose. The drawers did not open or close easily, the air conditioning cycled on every few minutes but only stayed on for about 30 seconds, which made it difficult to sleep. We would have enjoyed ice on site. There was landscaping in progress both days which created considerable noise.

Wonderful place for a Key West visit

We had an extended weekend stay at the Curry House. A great location away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. Property managers Hannah, Olivia and Sara were fantastic and very accommodating. Would recommend staying here.

Great Place, Great Host!

Nice little quite place, close to all the fun stuff. Had a minor setback with the AC going out the first night and there was a brand new one within the hour. Fantastic host, correspondence was easy and they went above and beyond with everything during our stay. 5 Stars!

Petar, I don't appreciate you claiming out historic property a disaster. You did not reach out to us at all during your stay so I'm not sure what went so wrong. The prices are competitive to similar accommodations in the area, which are relatively higher priced than anywhere else in the country. Thank you for your review regardless!

Great location in Key West

Older property centrally located in historic district. Nice porch to sit on. Pretty pool but we never used it. (Too busy running around all day and the pool closes at dusk) I really never came across anyone else while I was there. I could hear people walking in hall so I know we weren't alone. Comfortable beds. Close to restaurants

Disappointed

Place needs lots of work.There was no breakfast, pictures in advertisements were misleading. Staff did not supply pool towels and bathroom ones every day. We stayed at the other Curry House and it was much better. We will not be back

Hi Chris, I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. I want to clarify that we do not offer breakfast at this location and have never advertised it. There is another location called The Curry Mansion Inn that we manage, but it is not related to this one. Even at that location, we do not serve or advertise breakfast. I apologize for any confusion. Regarding the towels, we would have been happy to provide you with new ones if you had requested them. We hope to have the opportunity to give you a great Brightwild experience in the future! Nice stay but wish we knew more about the bathroom

This is an older KW home and the rooms were fine. We stayed in rooms 3&4. The bathroom is off of 4 and we had to walk around the hall to get to the bathroom each time we needed to use it. His required some coordination with family but not a big deal. Shampoo was provided along with coffee pods but that’s about it. We had to buy soap and creamer. Hope this information helps future renters.

Just so you are aware the bathroom for rooms 3 and 4 is in room 4...so you have to go through that room or out into the hallway to get to it. The check in information is sent from the management company One on One and it went directly to spam for me and it's not listed in the app at all. Even though I had messaged I did not get a response and security happened by and helped us finally get into our room. No one responded by the next day so I had to contact vrbo who took quite a while to get a hold of someone. After we finally got connected they were very nice and gave me a number to contact. Location is great, house is decent and the pool is nice to cool off in.

The house had a good location to Duvall Street. Parking is an issue. We parked about 2 blocks away from the house. House is dated & smelled like mildew. Rooms were dark but okay. Nothing great. Bed was comfortable. Way too much money for the stay! Over priced in that area. No person was on site to manage anything! No toilet paper in one bathroom. No access to get water for the self serve Keurig. One man came in from the sidewalk & asked if anyone was around to book a room. There was no phone number for him to contact the property owners to book a room. SO we took it upon ourselves to show him around & our rooms/bathroom. Gave him the phone number from our email confirmation. Your welcome property owners for doing your job! Do not advertise a continental breakfast when all your have is a help yourself Keuirg coffee maker. Only positive remark I can give would be location!

Thank you for your feedback, Linda. We recently overtook management of this property and, unfortunately, some of the other websites out there are outdated. We do not advertise breakfast at Curry House and you are correct that there is not an on site manager there. We do clean the carpets and the common areas regularly, however, this home is nearly 100 years old. We do plan on making updates over the summer. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay overall as we strive to make all of our guests' stays memorable for the right reasons. We hope you enjoyed the personal Keurig and coffee supplies in your room as well as the heated pool.

Highly disappointing

After a long day of travel not being able to even find a spot to unload the car didn't start the experience off on the right foot. The white gate which was black where it needed to be touched and the house was in need of serious maintenance and proper upgrades. The door was confusing as it had to be opened up. When you open the door the combination of musty and pot smell hits you instantly. Our rooms we were set up so that everyone had to come in and out of one bedroom and that in order for the ppl in the second bedroom to access that balcony or bathroom they had to also come through that bedroom. The shared balcony was hard to access, and leaning with peeling paint, and didn't feel safe. The pictured balcony over the pool isn't part of this set of rooms. The window AC unit was loud and inefficient, and one was crooked with a overflowing pan under it. No AC in the bathroom so the door had to be left open or it was unbearable as there was a gap under the outside door. The floor and ceiling showed signs of previous leaks. Cobwebs everywhere. The fan could only be adjusted by standing on the bed as only the second bedroom had a remote. It was the second day when we discovered the problem with the TV was that there was no cable remote. Our hope for the pool being cleaned was squashed when we discovered the filter not on and the pool was still full of leaves and the whole pool deck was not as pictured. We spent more to stay at this property with no parking for the pool and balcony

It’s not worth all the money

Overall, we had a good stay. We didn’t spend much time in the room, so not having a lot of amenities wasn’t a big deal. I only booked this place, because there wasn’t much available for the days I needed. Make sure you read the listing closely. We stayed in room #3 & #4 and luckily we had our own bathroom. I believe if you book the other rooms, you have to share the bathroom with other guests. If you’re okay with that, cool. The communication with Bill was great. He was responsive and helpful. The only thing I had an issue with was that I asked if I could drop my bags off at noon as we arrived to Key West super early and they told me “No” as my room wasn’t ready yet. They referred me to a business that “holds” your luggage and delivers them to your destination. When I went to drop my luggage off, they told me they’d drop it off around 2pm. Okay, cool. I checked in with the host around 2:30ish and asked if we could check in, and he told me that my room wasn’t ready.. but wait, my bags were dropped off.. but I thought I couldn’t drop them off because my room wasn’t ready? It is obvious they get a piece of those profits. I work in hospitality so to see that they wouldn’t accommodate us dropping our bags off was a bit of a turn off. The rooms are outdated, but overall they’re clean. Bring your own toiletries as not much is provided. The house is located in a good spot. Close to Duval, but away from the chaos Duval brings.

Castillo, thank you for your feedback. In addition to the private onsite pool, we also provide complimentary coffee, an ice maker, and private mini-fridges in each room with a Keurig for amenities. I apologize for any misunderstanding, however every single room on the property has a private bathroom, your reservation simply shared the single bathroom and that is the only room that has a shared bathroom (we don't rent these separately for that reason)! We do provide a starter supply of bathroom necessities and allow guests to drop their bags in the lobby, however, the space is not monitored, but behind a locked front door.
