Enjoy the charm of New Orleans living in an historic Victorian Camelback, built in 1861.
Close to everything; walk 3 blocks to world famous Commander's Palace, stroll down oak and mansion lined St. Charles Ave, go antiquing on Magazine St, ride the St. Charles Streetcar down to the French Quarter or up to the Universities and Audubon Park, visit the WWII Museum, and dine at any of the myriad of restaurants that make New Orleans a foodie paradise.
This lovingly restored apartment is 3 floors and sleeps up to 6 people (maximum 4 adults, per the City of New Orleans). There is a private entrance with a yard and a second floor balcony. The beautiful new kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, if you ever get tired of dining out. There is one full bath on the second floor and a half bath on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, one on the second floor and one on the third, and two sitting rooms. There is a comfortable full size sofa bed in the second floor sitting room and another sofa bed in the ground floor sitting room. High quality linens and towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer on the premises. Street parking is usually easy to find. Off-street parking may be available across the street.
Check-in is any time after 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. The apartment is set up for easy self check-in but, if you prefer, we can arrange to meet you and show you around the apartment. We live in Apt 4, another unit in the building. We are available to answer questions and give recommendations.
Maximum occupancy: No more than 4 adults, per the City of New Orleans. Up to 2 more children can be added for an additional fee. Maximum of 6 guests.
Surveillance cameras monitor the exterior, publicly accessible areas of our home.
Some Special Events and stays of 30 days or longer may require a larger refundable Security Deposit and/or additional cleaning fees, to be determined at time of booking.
All sales and deposits are final for Special Events (defined as any period with rates that differ from the standard nightly rate).

What makes this Condo unique
Our home is an historic shotgun camelback double built in 1861. Somewhere down the line it was converted into a 4-plex but it still retains many of the architectural flourishes that make New Orleans homes so charming. We love this old house and have been slowly restoring it to its original beauty. The neighborhood is perfect for us; we're a block from the Garden District streetcar stop, walking distance to so much, and our neighbors are wonderful. We enjoy this property immensely and love to share it with our guests.

Great location in the Garden District
We were in town for my daughter's 21st birthday. This place is convenient to both the Quarter (short Uber ride or streetcar if you have time) and Magazine street shopping. 2 blocks away from restaurants on St. Charles and a great bakery and coffee shop nearby. Corinna is a super host and they've done a great job remodelling the house. Very quiet for an older place. Be aware that there are stairs, lots of stairs. Not really a place for Grandma or someone who's healing up from a knee job.
Super cute property, all the comforts of home!
We stayed three nights at the Camelback Guest House. It is a really cute three story property that is older but has a lot of charm to it. The owners were very accommodating and even met us for our very late 1am arrival, making sure we knew where to park and how the doors and locks worked, etc. There is a convenience store just a few steps away, which came in handy- they have a little bit of everything there. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, pillows and even some small snacks of pretzels and cookies, which our kids appreciated! We were in town for St Patrick's Day and this house was the perfect location to walk down to Magazine St to watch the parade.
I would highly recommend the Camelback Guest House to anyone looking for a clean, comfy place with a central location.

Great location, very comfortable
Short walk to the trolley. More than enough room for 3 of us. Super clean and comfortable.
Unit has plenty of room. Grocery/convience store across the street. Short walk to the trolley. Would definitly stay again.
We are 2 miles from the French Quarter and 3 miles from Audubon Park. We are a block away from the St. Charles Streetcar and 6 blocks to Magazine Street. Commander's Palace is 3 blocks away.
