"Castlebay" is a stunning home with delightful views over rural farmland and beyond to Westernport Bay. Please note this home is not pet friendly. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The long central hallway leads from the entrance of the home and provides access to bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (all with BIR), the main bathroom (with bath & shower), separate toilet, internal entrance to the double garage, a side covered deck and laundry. At the end of the hallway are four steps leading up to the rear open plan kitchen / dining / living room (with coonara style wood heater, smart TV & Sonos sound system plus many games & toys for kids) with an amazing rural outlook, and provides access to the rear covered balcony. The main bedroom has a smart TV, walk through robe and ensuite (with shower and dual entry toilet). Also on this level is a study (with built in desk chairs & toys for kids) and the powder room (which is dual entry with the en-suite).
Outdoor Areas
The large double garage (with Wii & smart TV and a second fridge) has internal access into the home as well into the fully enclosed rear yard. The side semi-covered deck (accessed from the central hallway) has a table and seating for 8, wall mounted smart TV, an outdoor heater, ceiling fan and gas BBQ. The covered rear deck provides incredible uninterupted views across westernport bay to the Mornington Pennisula and has a sofa, chair and coffee table.
The home has some security cameras focused on the yard, gardens and fences, plus a ring door camera.

Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with standard cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi Nespresso Pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, George Foreman grill, air fryer, pantry, large fridge, dishwasher, electric oven, and gas cook top. There is also a second refrigerator in the garage.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the living room plus a coonara-style wood heater, ceiling fans in all four bedrooms plus another on the side deck. There are mobile heaters in all the bedrooms plus an outdoor heater on the side deck.
Bedroom Configuration
This home has 5 beds accommodating up to 9 guests:

Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

A Great Stay!
We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need, plus oil, salt pepper etc in the pantry. Master bedroom does get very hot during the day but cools off quickly in the evening using cross breezes and overhead fan. Lovely views over farmland to the bay

It was great house and modern
The house view was nice and warm. Everything was working well except the coffee machine but wasn’t a big deal. Smart TV’s everywhere which was really convenient.
It was really nice long weekend and definitely will do it again

We really loved our stay, it suited my family of burley adults perfectly. Would have loved the double bed to be a queen, a 6”3 young man in a double is pretty funny to see. The outlook was perfect, having access to the garage was also fantastic for a car a two motorbikes. The kitchen was well stocked but the stove and pots and pans were all greasy, had to try and clean before using. Pciuld have done with a few more pantry staples, salt pepper, oil, sugar, paper towel etc. house and bathrooms were spotless. Only issue was the main bedroom. It was stifling, it faced west, full in and no awning. The blind did nothing to keep it cool and the aircon in the main room didn’t enter. We couldn’t stay in there till later in the night. A small aircon in that room is necessary. But with that in mind and hopefully addressed we would definitely re-book. Loved it. Thank you

Hopefully the 6’3” young man still managed a decent night’s rest despite the double bed! We’ll be passing your comments regarding the cookware condition and the main bedroom heat and ventilation on to both the owner and the cleaner to review and improve for future guests. Regarding consumables, while we don’t officially include them in every booking, we always ask our cleaners to leave enough to get you started as a courtesy; as is standard with self‑catering holiday rentals, guests typically bring additional supplies for the duration of their stay, and we don’t provide items with use‑by dates to ensure everything is safe for guests.
