New Years Vacay

Our family of 5 stayed with another family of 3. We really enjoyed the cabin feel with updated appliances. The teens (12, 14, 15, 16) really enjoyed the bunk room and swing outside. We would definitely recommend the stay to anyone wanting to get away!

The Amish-made bunk beds are really neat and a little unusual in that both beds are queen size so it makes it especially fun for kids. The swing and treehouse were "COVID projects" that really turned out nicely after a lot of work I have to say. Please stay with us again!"

Nice mountain getaway

Quiet and secluded but easy to get back to civilization when needed. Gorgeous interior of house. Luray caverns is about 20 minutes away and a great short trail with a mountain overlook of the area is even closer. Definitely recommend.

Exceeded expectations

We could not have had a better experience staying here. The house was very clean, comfortable, had all amenities we needed, and was in a very relaxing and peaceful setting, yet close enough to town. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Fun getaway for families!

We loved the setting in the forest. It was close to several outings we wanted to do. The kids had so much fun with the extras outdoors and indoors! Ninja warrior equipment, tree swings, playhouse, tree house platform, pond, fire pit, etc... The host was friendly, attentive & accommodating. I've already recommended it to friends.

Work Trip in the Woods

House had enough space to accommodate co-workers. Had some difficulty operating AC system, exterior lighting, and wifi. Owner & management company were quick to answer questions and address any issues. Beautiful area and very relaxing!

Great home!

This home was great for our family vacation. The home is bright and clean, we LOVED the woodstove and all the room for lounging on the couches. The kids loved the "ninja course" equipment. Beds were comfortable too!! Home was very well equipped. Owner was communicative and helpful. We did not utilize the outside area very much due to the weather. We would absolutely stay here again when in the area. Highly recommend.

From the owner: "Thank you for the great review, Jody! The wood stove is definitely a treat and kept us all warm several winters in a row. We firmly believe in keeping the kids active, especially during COVID so we did a lot to make it kid fun with the "ninja course" and other things like the slide down the steps, tall tree swings, treehouse, and the kid playhouse. The fish pond was a selling point for me when purchasing the property as our kids loved playing with the frogs and goldfish. The creek down below the tree house is great in the summertime to cool off or do a "nature spot" to just listen to the music of the moving water, birds, and other wildlife. Please stay with us again!"

"The Funhouse"

This beautiful cabin is a wonderful place to enjoy while exploring the Shenandoah area. It was perfect for our family seeking fun, adventure, nature and relaxation. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for our home away from home. Our little ones had a blast both indoors and outdoors and called it “The Funhouse”. The grown ups enjoyed the peaceful setting in this special place while creating sweet family memories. Thank you to our guest contact, Nicole, for being so helpful and prompt when we had questions. We look forward to returning again perhaps sometime in the fall season.

Beautiful, Secluded Family-Friendly Cabin

Great cabin for kids and adults. The cabin was very nice. Plenty of room to gather. The kids stayed busy inside and out. The kids called it the "funhouse." The treehouse was a huge hit. The location was great. Tucked away in a large wooded lot with mountains in the background. There is even a stream running through. Plenty of firewood for the firepit. We had a great time. Terry was very responsive. No complaints here but we did bring our own TV. Would definitely stay again.

Secluded Get-Away

The house is very secluded and there is no television. That might have been a note in the description and we just missed it. There is a bbq available but we couldn't find any bbq tools. A couple of mixing bowls would be helpful since we chose to eat a few meals at the house. The house has a unique set up with some swing set style equipment hanging from the beam in the house. It ended up just being myself and my husband but there was definitely room for several more people inside and out. We enjoyed our stay.
