Clean updated unit, well equipped

The property and surrounding area had a comfortable and very friendly feel. The unit was very clean, spacious, well-equipped and nicely updated. Just a short drive to Lahaina for plenty of dining, shopping, whale watching/snorkeling charters. Closer still was Kapalua and walking along coastal trails and beaches. During our stay the winds were strong which created a strong cross draft through the unit. This was helpful due to the lack of AC but required sliders to remain open while in the unit. Made sleep a challenge when surf was strong....a nice problem to have. The master bedroom would benefit from blackout curtains as those in the living room. We felt little to no privacy in the master. Note: beaches in the area were washed away. I'm not sure if this is seasonal.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, Rob. We have notified the owner regarding your suggestion for blackout curtains in the bedroom. In regards to the beach access, the main beach near Valley Isle may become closed from time to time due to safety reasons to to shoreline conditions, however, in this event there is additional beach access a short walk away from the condo. Older unit but beautiful view

Older unit which we didn’t expect. Also when I searched for an AC unit this popped up. Needless to say we were shocked on arrival but with the winds and doors open it cooled it down. Beach is washed away from storm but you can walk to beach down the road. Grounds are also undergoing repair/Reno/construction. Also when we vacuumed there was so much sand in the carpets it was disgusting and no it wasn’t from our family. We’re meticulous about washing off the sand of everything before coming inside our room/home anywhere. My husband actually spent an hour just going back and forth over the rugs in the two bedrooms once we realized how much sand there was in the carpet.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, Cass. We always pay attention to what we're doing right and where we can improve. We're sorry you ran into the rug situation. We wish you had let us know, as we would have had replacements out to you immediately. We are having those replaced now. I'm not sure about your AC reference. We don't advertise this unit having A/C. In regards to the beach, during our winter months, depending on the weather and high tides, sometimes we have less or no beach. Beach access may be closed from time to time due to safety reasons due to shoreline conditions. However in the event the beach access is closed from the Valley Isle, public beach access is just a short walk away. As of Jan 2018 there are sand bags that have been placed on the shoreline to protect the property.

Great Location & View

Great location and plenty of parking. Building is kind of old and photos don't show that to the right you actually have a view of not only the ocean, but the front doors of 4-6 other condos.. Despite the old building, this unit is updated. Kitchen isn't very well stocked for cooking, but really nice/super clean. The fridge is really wedged into a little space so the freezer cannot open all the way - made it hard to get ice out as the ice was not dispensing from the door of the fridge.. The fridge also didn't seem cold enough for the first couple of days. Beds are comfortable and the two bathrooms were a must for our group of 5. Plenty of space in the unit. The bedroom not facing the water is really dark but it didn't matter much as we spent most of our time outside. The pool is great - used the BBQs down there almost every night and they even have a little herb garden! The condo provides beach towels and also some boogie boards. Overall an awesome stay.

Very clean, non cluttered and functional

We enjoyed the view and easy beach access from the condo. It was decorated nicely without being cluttered, had comfortable clean furniture and the kitchen was well stocked. The linens were nice and plenty of them. We were able to spend time hiking in Kapalua, shopping and dining in Lahaina and Kaanapali with easy access to all. There were plenty of walkable eateries as well. The beach access was fabulous and there were sand chairs and boards to enjoy the water. The internet access allowed us to stream our Blazer and Seahawks games with our laptop. We travel quite a bit and this unit was one that I would recommend!

Great unit in a great location

I forgot how relaxing Kahana is. We normally stay down in Kaanapali but it can be too crowded for us. It was nice to have a pool and beach that are not overcrowded. The beach and surf were ideal for relaxing or floating with the sea turtles. As a golfer, it was nice to have Jimmy's golf rentals nearby as well as the fine golf courses. In walking distance is Maui Brewing Co., a great place for food and drink. A short drive away are the shops and restaurants in Lahaina and Whaler's Village. The unit was very comfortable for the 5 of us. The orientation of the unit allows a wonderful cross breeze through the front and out the lanais. We tend to eat in for breakfast and occasional lunches so it was nice to have a kitchen large enough to cook in. A very nice unit and I would highly recommend it!

Amazing View / Super Clean and Comfy

This was such a great value. Super clean and everything was new. Every convenience of home. Great view of Molokai and the beach. Very nice to be right by the elevator but not loud in any way. Always a place to park. Very comfy even on the warmest day. Would re-book this property in a second. Hight recommended!
