Rustic, comfortable log cabin not far from State College

My son and I stayed here for a dual campus visit/Kenny Chesney concert weekend. The cabin feels remote from the hustle and bustle of University Park, but it's only about 15 minute drive to campus. The house is part museum/part cozy cabin. It's got a massive wood-burning fire place in the center of the house, and our hosts provided helpful instructions as well as kindling and seasoned logs to burn. Our hosts, who met us upon arrival, also supplied us with fresh blueberry muffins, breakfast cereal and other assorted snacks. The cabin does not have WiFi or cable but my Verizon data worked fine. There are plenty of beds for a larger group. Definitely a great stay if you are looking for peace, quiet and a bit of central Pennsylvania rustic charm.
