Huge, I mean huge, floor to ceiling windows - you feel that you are outside in the woods but cozy by the gas fire. Quiet rental neighbourhood for enjoying nice walk and toboggan down the driveway! What a great weekend

Great house but not great location

If you are considering this house, you should know that every weekday, there was continuous loud noise from bulldozers picking up and dropping large rocks at a building site behind the house. Two or three times a day, an alarm would shriek, followed by an explosion that shook the entire house. Working outside was out of the question. It would have been helpful to know about the noise before I paid for the house. The loud noise was extremely distracting, and disappointing because I went there specifically for quiet to work. The aerial view of the house was not part of the listing when I booked. I wish it had been. Two sides of the property are steep, rocky hills that could seriously hurt someone if they fell or the ground gave way. You can’t get near the edge because the dirt is unstable and slides out from under your feet, and you could easily fall down the rocky hill. There is a big crack in the ground as well. The furniture around the outdoor fireplace is dirty. For children, the area is dangerous. The driveway is narrow and steep, and it was covered with gravel most of the time I was there. My car often skidded on the way up. The main floor of the house is very hot during the day, even with the air conditioner on. Even with the shades down, you can see in any time of day. There are three other houses very close to this house. All of this said, the house was beautiful and clean inside, and the hosts answered questions quickly.

Thank you for your comment, we are really sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. We would have really appreciated if you had let us know what was bothering you during our communications during your stay, rather than coming and sharing it in public since you told us you enjoy your stay a lot. Please be aware that the work on the road was beyond our control, and is now complete. As advertised, we have rocky hills, but not as imposing as you mention. When you come to the countryside, the paths are not all asphalted. On gravel paths, you have to drive more carefully, it can be more slippery. It is difficult to keep our furniture around the fire without sand since it is a new construction and the grass has not had time to grow yet, so it is sandy for the moment. The chalet has lots of windows so you can admire the beauty of the countryside, it is normal that the floor is a little warmer, but to say very hot, we find that you are amplifying the real situation, we do not had any comments on this. However, we are delighted that you appreciated the beauty of our chalet, but we are disappointed by the exaggeration of your comment regarding our chalet.
