About this space
Your home away from home. Steps from the waters of sparkling Georgian Bay, on a quiet, dead-end street, this vacation get-a-way is perfect for a couple or small family for a short stay yet set up perfectly for seasonable or monthly stays. There is a private walk-out entrance and this fully furnished retreat has lots of parking and can accommodate all your toys. We're 15-minutes from Blue Mountain, 7 min to downtown walking distance to Wasaga Beach. Quiet, peaceful yet close to the action.
The space
This ground floor, cottage-like space has been fully renovated & up-graded and offers lots of parking. We can accommodate boats, ski-doos, jet skis etc. Great spot for swimming, kayaking, bicycling or hiking in the summer and 15-minutes from Blue Mountain Resort for skiers and boarders in the winter. We are located in E. Collingwood, 1-klm from the Wasaga Beach border. Wasaga is the longest freshwater beach in the world, spanning 14 klms of sandy beaches. Our place is perfect for swims in fresh, clear, shallow water and for long beach walks or bicycle rides on Wasaga Beach. The space is private in a lower level of a raised bungalow where owners live upstairs

Other things to note
Our large, quiet lot offers plenty of trees, a soothing water fountain and inviting hammock. Guests can BBQ on our propane BBQ and enjoy bon-fires in our portable fire-pit. A perfect oasis for single professional person or couple looking for a long stay in paradise. Although it's only listed as a 1-bedroom, the 1,100-SQ feet we offer has plenty of space for a 3rd or 4th guest and we offer both single and queen air-beds to enjoy. Games and books are available to guests. Guests can walk to the private, rocky beach to swim in crystal clear waters or enjoy water toys and fun (water shoes required)

Being world travellers and the owners of an international tour company that's been in business over 35 years, we purchased this place 10-years ago as our Vacation Paradise. A spot that was an oasis in our busy lives of international travel. We purchased it to entertain our travel groups but since COVID, we found this strategy was too labour intensive, hence, we decided to share this space with like-minded world travelers and share our extensive knowledge of the area (if required.) We love connecting with people who share a passion for the outdoors and feel with the space we have, why not invite our guests to share in our little oasis.

Why they chose this property

When my husband and I were searching for a vacation property, we searched all over the world and we wound up choosing Collingwood because it was a perfect fit. It was less than 2-hrs from Toronto and it had the infrastructure to cater to all types of vacation guests. Lots of trendy restaurants, a cool, boutique shopping vibe, the world's longest freshwater beach - (Wasaga Beach which spans over 13-klms of white sandy beach) and the key attraction was famous Blue Mountain Resort which is only a 15-minute drive from our home. We wanted a place that was quiet and soothing, with large trees and soothing waters and close to Georgian Bay. This spot was perfect and because it was a raised bungalow, what a super idea to have a space that we can share and earn a little extra income at the same time. It's a win-win for everyone.

What makes this property unique

Our location and our rustic feel. We're within the Collingwood city limits yet our 1/2 acre property offers tranquility and solstice. Our guest's outdoor space is large and with the Rockdell Steakhouse directly across the street, a perfect way to relax and unwind. Our large walk-out space is 1100SQ feet, fully furnished and up-graded to offer a comfortable (but not luxurious), clean, friendly, quiet, safe stay. We are also on a quiet street of neighbours who live full time, making this space safe and quiet and you won't hear others partying. You get a real cottage feeling while being minutes from all the amenities of the town of Collingwood and the neighboring townships of Wasaga Beach, Thornbury and the Blue Mountains.
