We love this resort and have stayed here several times before but this was our first time booking Velas through VRBO. Previously, we had stayed as an air & hotel all inclusive package. This particular VRBO was excellent, it's a beautiful condo, very roomy and had everything we needed including in-suite laundry and an air fryer which was very handy. Our coffee drinkers loved the various coffee machine options, and we made sure to bring a few Keurig pods as we were informed they don't sell them in Mexico. The property is stunning, and one of the reasons we keep returning, along with the pool/bar staff who go out of their way to make sure to keep you well hydrated! One draw back for this particular visit was the construction work taking place, a new restaurant is in the works: the one nearest the beach was torn down with a new one being built, due to open in November 2026. The jack hammering was prevalent and the staff did their best to drown it out with the music. We still had a great time but it did grate on our nerves after a while, paradise is much more enjoyable when it's not accompanied by construction noise. We were pleasantly surprised by the weather. The forecast before we arrived showed rain every day, we had nothing but sunshine mixed with a few overcast days. There was some rain, but it often started late afternoon around 4:00-6:00pm, or rained overnight. Every morning was beautiful, warm and sunny! Looking forwarding to returning again soon!
