Hedgegate of Newport is a classic, historic summer home that provides a perfect venue where family and friends enjoy old-fashion relaxation and tranquility. This amazing Dutch Colonial home has been in our family for over 90 years. Purchased by our grandfather in 1930 as a summer family retreat, multiple generations of our family have entertained friends with sumptuous barbecues, delicious Italian dishes and fine wines.

Our home has a recently renovated fully equipped kitchen with stainless-steel appliances. The dining room has a large table that seats up to 12 people. There is also room for 7 on the island kitchen. With views of Newport’s' Easton's Beach & Easton's Pond, enjoy spectacular sunsets from the wrap-around porch on a rocker!

Beach, Beach, Beach: 1st Beach or Easton's Beach: 200 yards from house: Concession stand, outdoor showers, Children of all ages enjoy the old fashion Carousel. Discovery Museum, changing cabanas, play ground w/ picnic tables, parking area, volley ball nets, skate board park, music concerts during Summer months every Tues night, Thurs night family night w/ kids activities.

2nd Beach or Sachuest Beach (spectacular beach with a concession stand & showers);
Sachuest National Park (hiking trails & nature center)& Norman Bird Sanctuary (hiking trails, nature center) only 3 mins drive.

3rd Beach: Located facing Sakonet Point. A calm beach perfect for small children. A boat ramp, sailboat and kayak rentals make third beach a perfect option on windy days.

From Hedgegate of Newport the harbor front is a nice 15 minute walk.
