Debra, First and foremost I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at the home. I take full pride in this property and want my guests to enjoy my home as if it is their own. I take all positive and now negative feedback to try and improve the home year after year. In response to your review. I communicated with you several times leading up to and during your stay. Approximately 2 weeks before your scheduled stay you messaged me several times with questions. You also asked if you could switch weeks because you did not realize it was Father's Day weekend and most of your guests for the week did not want to come. Instead of the back and forth I called you to answer any questions. I informed you unfortunately the house is completely booked and I could not accommodate a switch. Upon arrival I answered more questions about the house such as where the Thermostats are located. You informed me that there were no linens, soap, and there was a clogged bathroom sink. The listing clearly shows no linens and towels are provided. The house does come with hand soaps, antibacterial wipes and a host of cleaners for guests who want to do an extra peace of mind clean. I gave you a contact for a linen supply company that will drop them off for the week. I also responded under an hour with a plumber and remedied the sink problem which happened to be a toothpaste cap. When guests arrive there is a Welcome Letter and a Check Out Letter. The Welcome letter explains WiFi and where things are located throughout the home like beach badges, exterior TV remote, and garbage instructions etc. I believe the so called "Gestapo Letter" you are referring to is the Checkout letter. That letter asks guest to return the home as they found it. Return furniture to where it belongs, don't leave dishes in dishwasher and make broom swept etc. From week to week there is only a 4 hour turn around in-between guests. A professional cleaning company comes to wipe all surfaces down and clean the home etc. If there are minor items that may be worn they typically do get noticed but sometimes will be replaced for the following week because of the short turnaround. I make every effort to replace items and maintain the home for a positive stay. Again, I will take your feedback into account. All the pots and pans are new, I have now started providing hotel style soap and shampoo for guests and will address any beds that may need replacement for the next rental season. I wish you better rentals in the future.
