Guest Suite w/ Easy Walk to FQ, Marigny, Treme, & St Roch
Just around the block from the Pauger Street streetcar station, this vacation-oriented guest suite with key-less entry is part of a newer home constructed in 2019, which combines traditional architectural features with modern convenience in the New Marigny Historic District. Five short walking blocks to the French Quarter!
Enjoy spending time on the front porch with your morning coffee fresh from the kitchenette, which includes a variety of coffees for the Keurig coffee maker, a microwave, and a small refrigerator with a freezer. Don't worry about getting cold feet - our radiant flooring throughout the spacious bathroom and spa shower will make your mornings ever so pleasant.
The suite is furnished with café seating for two, a king bed, digital TV ready for your favorite streaming service (no cable); there is a washer and dryer furnished with detergent and dryer sheets, extra blankets and pillows and an ample supply of towels. For your convenience, we have supplied basic toiletries, an iron and hair dryer. Exterior security cameras are located on the perimeter of the property for everyone's safety.
Within easy walking distance are: the dining, theater, and art galleries of the revitalized St. Claude Ave. corridor; the music venues, art market, and restaurants of Frenchmen Street music venues; and the many attractions of the French Quarter, including the French Market and Mississippi River.
Want to ride a bike? There is a Blue Bike rental hub nearby, and access to the Lafitte Greenway is just down N Rampart Street. Just five short blocks away are Walgreen's and Robért Fresh Market on St. Claude at Elysian Fields Ave.
Home truths: the owners and their dog live onsite, and there is a separate apartment on the second floor (and that tenant works evenings). The guest suite is only accessible by ascending 6 steps. This location is a residential neighborhood and may be prone to noise, including roosters. Street parking is readily available.

Loved the special touches - the letter with favorite neighborhood spots, and instructions for the shower, and beads! The details in the space are really impressive. We didn't use the heated floors in the bathroom and shower, but definitely loved the thought behind them. The toiletries were luxurious, i really like the details in the closet area too.
What a well appointed space. Some of the best and thoughtful details of any places I've stayed. Convenient to everything. Walkable by day, cheap uber at night. The shower is 10/10. Neighborhood is in transition. Space above can be loud, sound machine appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
The room was just the right size. Decorated very nicely with an amazing shower and heated bathroom floors. Nice attention to amenities. Was within walking distance to the French Quarter.
The host is a great communicator and very welcoming. We knew exactly how to get into the building, what the rules were, and the clear expectations of checkout. The room was beautiful. The house is situated on a quiet street, yet close to everything. Our favorite part was definitely the shower!
We loved the location and walkability to various parts of NOLA. Parking was plentiful, and place was clean and modern. Owner was responsive and we would definitely stay here again. We appreciated the extra touches of umbrellas, extra towels, and local recs.
The host was so super helpful and welcoming. The place was meticulously organized and absolutely spotless. Very comfortable and close location to tourist sites. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Thank you - and you’re welcome! Hope you come back to New Orleans soon!
Daniel was a very accommodating host - the property was very clean, beautifully renovated (shower was awesome!), and located within east walking distance to the FQ and Marigny. Would recommend!
We stayed here for our yearly "mom & dad" getaway and could not have been more impressed. The neighborhood is wonderfully quiet and clearly in the middle of a beautiful revitalization—you can see it's undergoing gentrification, but it remains stunning in most spots and feels very authentic. The hosts have truly thought of everything. From extra charging cords to a fan, every little thing was already there. In fact, it was so well-equipped that I caught myself saying, "I wish it had..." only to realize the item was already provided! The white noise machine was a wonderful touch, though the room was so quiet we didn't even need to use it.The bathroom was a standout feature. The shower was fantastic, and the heated bathroom and shower floors were such a luxurious, high-end touch. The bed was firm and very comfortable, which we appreciated after our days out. The washer and dryer were also a wonderful touch that you don't often find in Nola.Location-wise, it was perfect. We walked back and forth to the French Quarter a few times, and when we didn't feel like walking, catching an Uber was incredibly fast—we never waited longer than 5 minutes! This was a clean, beautifully set up, and peaceful home base for our trip.
We loved it! Everything about it was great, down to even the smallest details.
Will definitely recommend to all we know & will plan to stay here again, next time we are in NOLA

So glad you enjoyed yourselves and do please come back!
Apartment is practically new: it is very clean and very well designed. It has everything for comfortable staying. It is short distance from FQ and the best Jazz in the World. This place will save you a lot of money which you can spend later on the most delicious oysters in America

Thanks for the lovely compliments - we’re so glad you were able to make it after all and enjoy the city!
The house and unit were very nice and just as described in the listing. Everything was clean and nicely decorated.
It is walkable to the French Quarter if you are up for a mile or so of walking, or use ride sharing if not(driving and parking can be a challenge in the FQ).
Getting to location and contacting host for an extremely early check-in was perfect! The host made the whole process very accommodating considering our situation. Normally check-in isn’t till 3-4pm and our flight landed at 8am so asked if an early check-in was possible and the host informed me that unit was ready when we were! As soon as we arrived, we enter our unique code to unlock door and entered a very cozy room for us. Very clean and very updated! The bed was firm and I enjoyed it but might have been a bit too firm for spouse. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the heated floors and tile in the shower, cool feature!
We had a great stay at this location. Very well kept with very nice features. Easy walk (15 minutes) to the action on Bourbon Street. Never had an issue walking to or from Bourbon St day or night. Walls and cieling are a bit thin but everyone in the neighboring units seemed very respectful of their volume levels. Highly recommend.
We had a great time in New Orleans, and we are coming back to stay at the same property. Danny is a great, fun, loving, caring person, and he is a great property manager. He made sure that we felt comfortable and at home. He also gave us great ideas of things to do while we were there.
The accommodations where wonderful and seems like a 5 star hotel. Everything was designed and thought of to make guests comfortable. We were concerned when pulling up since some of the houses around the home didn't look the best, but we had no problems. Quick drive to everything we wanted to do with our short visit.

Cute place
Super cute room. But walls were super thin. Someone was bumping their music late into the night making it hard to sleep.

That’s unfortunate you had music noise and a less than perfect experience- because we couldn’t hear it in our part of the house, had you notified us we would have had our upstairs tenant turn the music off.
This is my 4th trip to New Orleans but my first VRBO experience here. Daniel set the bar high! The property is off the beaten path a bit, but we were within 20 minutes walking time and 5 minute uber ride of anything we wanted to do.
This place was cozy, comfortable, and inviting. I loved the sleep machine (added to my Amazon cart this am😅) and the bathroom is to absolutely die for! You can tell a lot of love and thought was put in to this place.
Daniel is a gem and it was so nice to be able to have him right there with any questions.. also, that dog he talks about is adorable.
Don't hesitate, book today!

Very Comfortable stay
The room was beautiful , The only down side is when you sit on the Front pourch you are looking at an old run down house, The neighborhood is not the best to look at, however you can see they are trying to rebuild it. This property is all new and the room was nice , to sleep in untill 4am when the upstairs apartment started to walk arcoss the floor, woke us up every day,This went on everyday that we atayed there. Daneil was very nice and I would recomand his place , just know that other people live up stairs and you will hear them. We used the taxi service to get around town, and most of the time it was good. Use Uber to get to the airport they are more relieable. coat us 50.00 dollars to get to the airport.
This unique property had everything you could ask for and MORE!
My boyfriend and I came down from Ausitn, Texas to celebrate Mardi Gras. We loved how the festivities were not too far or too close to this location. The way this space was updated was amazing. We were so spoiled with the heated floors and amazing rain shower. Keep in mind you are able to hear the tenants next door and on the floor above you. After a long day of exploring & parades the bed was magical & had way more space than we are used to. Shout out the keyless entry! The property owner was very nice & kept to themselves. They also did not gatekeep the items I fell in LOVE with! We have used 'VRBO' for years & this has been the BEST ONE EVER! Thank you for sharing your lovely property. We can't wait till our next visit & will definitely book this Oasis again!
The Guest Suite was super clean and had everything you would need. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was amazing. It had heated floors, heated seating in the shower, it was like a high end spa. The owner was super nice and knowledgeable about the area. The location is perfect you can walk to bourbon street in 10 minutes. My wife and I will definitely rent this Guest Suite again.

Glad y’all had a great visit - come on back anytime!
We loved this place!! So quaint and cute . Very nice and the shower was amazing. Perfect for a couple. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
Clean, friendly and fun stay. Walking distance to great eateries and bars. Loved and appreciated the recommendation page of places to check out. Cannot wait to go back. Would recommend the stay to anyone.
Our rental was clean and very well appointed… the shower was a revelation! It was easy for us to get to everything we wanted to see and our host even let us know about some fun events happening during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Danny McElmurray
We are two professionals who lived in New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina, left to pursue career goals in Las Vegas, and came back to New Orleans in 2011 to stay. We finally built our new home after 7 years of searching for just the right piece of property.
Why they chose this property
We love the traditional architecture of New Orleans, but after owning and renting older homes, we decided we like level floors and vertical walls. Building our home allowed us to install features that we have found to make our lives easier, and hope you will enjoy them too.
What makes this property unique
In addition to be being within easy walking or streetcar distance of all the magnificent places in New Orleans, our home features radiant heating in the bathroom flooring - this is a year-round luxury you didn't know you needed until you have it. Also, for those potentially messy meals and sweaty events, we have an en-suite washer-dryer for your convenience.
