Being right on the water was awesome. Not only for the boat, but the kids loved swimming/jumping from the jetty and kayaking around. The spa on the deck was also a great addition. The size of the house was good for the large group and the games room set up in the garage got used heaps.
Beautiful location, New Zealand at its finest. The house is large and relatively comfortable with a whole heap of Kayaks which was awesome as most places only have 2 or 3. Only a couple negatives which bothered me enough to include in a review. The spa water was not usable due to extremely dirty water (needed to be refilled which was not done during our stay). The house was handed to us in a below average state and all the outside bins were full. The property manager came to the house twice over our 5 night stay which felt a little invasive.

These people were something of a problem in that they had understated their numbers, and didnt like being challenged on this, but yes the spa was a concern
and again keeping on top of spas with back to back bookings with multiple kids using the spas....
The reasons I went there several times were to remove some rubbish from the bin that had built up over the back to back stays with only the one council
weekly collection. Its a typical problem at this time of the year after Christmas.
The location of this property is stunning. We woke to beautiful lake views every morning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We had 4 teenagers and 3 adults and the house was the perfect size. Everyone had their space and there were plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. There were 2 pool tables and a ping pong table to keep the teens busy. We went kayaking almost every day and walked along the lake. When we weren’t out exploring the area and participating in all of the local adventure activities (White water rafting, ziplining, zorb ball etc), we were happy to relax back at the house. I would love to rent it out for a month and just relax at the house the whole time - it is so peaceful. The house itself is a little older and a few things in need of repair, but it still provided a wonderful home for us while we were there. We loved the big kitchen and cooked at home for several dinners. The dining table and living areas are also big enough to accommodate large families. The outdoor spa was also a huge hit with everyone!! Honestly, if you’re looking for a home to accommodate a larger family (or even 2 families that’s not too far from the centre of Rotorua, then this is a great option.
It was a lovely spot nice and quiet. Plenty of space for all the family to stay. I cannot find anything wrong with it. Was such a lovely holiday. Thank you all very much cheers Rosemary
Initially we were a little surprised at how dated and cluttered the property was. We also found the property needed a good vacuum. Some of the bedding was stained. The window latch in a bathroom was broken so we had an influx of bugs overnight. The toilet cistern in the main bathroom also needed replacing. After the cleaner came back and cleaned again - the holiday worked out well. The window was also taped shut for us so that we could use the bedroom and ensuite. I swept the front entrance which was covered in leaves and soil and that helped a lot as well. I swept the decks and the deck out near the jetty - made a big difference. We did have a lawn mower guy come while we were there - with a weed eater - ear muffs so he made no attempt to acknowledge he was completely disrupting our stay - a wood chip bounced off and hit one of our guests but again - nothing from him - had blinkers on. Overall the location was great but accommodation is quite tired and we didn’t really see the value in terms of costs involved. Norman the property manager was very helpful.
Highly recommend I am definitely keen to go back we had 8 people. Went out on kayaks provided, pool table and table tennis to keep us entertained in the evenings and a wonderful Sap pool ! Best weekend with walks around the lake and we booked horse riding just down the road. We had a great time !!
Great property with lots of extras. Weather closed in on our last day but still plenty to do with the pool table, ping pong table and spa pool. Lots of space for the family to spread out. The lake is beautiful with lots of birdlife and you can get amongst it in the kayaks.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Peaceful stay by the lake
Dated home in amazing position on the lake. Clean home. Small lounge/dining on ground floor which is where you would mainly hang out with another lounge upstairs that we didn't really find convenient to use. Kayaks to use, spa pool. Price listed is plus extra guests and plus linen, price was incorrect on listing but has since been updated. Probably not ideal to stay with young kids due to lake frontage. For price of listing needs a bit of work ie dishwasher needs replacement trays, only one scoop of washing powder supplied, pegs all broken little things but just annoying
Neat and tidy. Offered lots of activities aside from the obvious lakeside water attractions. Beaut outdoor area with spa and dining and seating. Had a great time!
Such a great spot to sit and unwind!.
Great outdoor area with views across the lake. Plenty of room for larger groups with separate spaces if thats what you need.
Nice large kitchen with plenty of cooking facilities and even a separate fridge for drinks.
If we were forced to find a negative point about the home we would say the showers arent great at all, but dont let that stop you staying here.
