Lake Tarawera Bach

Great bach on lakeside with Beach access and jetty.Great sunny spot with an older style lockwood bach, but has all you need to relax and have a great time.

LKe side bliss

This is a fantastic bach for a relaxing get away. We were a family group celebrating a birthday so perfect space to hang out together. The kitchen is well equiped for self catering and the fridge and freezer space amazing. A very memorable stay.

excellent location!

Wonderful property and location! The house was clean and well-equipped and we loved being so close to the lake. A gorgeous area. The only improvement I could suggest is to install a few more fly screens so windows can be left open at night in all the bedrooms and the main living area in hot weather without worrying about bites from sand flies.

Summer at tarewera

2nd time staying at yhe propery. View is dantasric.we live the stairs down to new refurbished jetty. Awesome frin tlawn for playing frisbee etc. Drive tight for bringing in boats on trailors but doable. Beds very comfortable. Older style house. Everything works very well. Well equipped kitchen. Great hotwater. Awesome to have extra freezer.

Trout Fishing 2024

From start to finish we had an excellent stay, the accommodation was really homely and we all agreed that this was the first place where all the cooking facilities actually worked and functioned well. Definitely a bonus with 2 WC's for 5 guys. The private jetty worked well with 2 boats and the views from the property are superb. The intermittent internet connection was not really a problem with us. As we are a bit older now the steep stairs to the jetty might be a problem if you are unsteady on your feet

Perfect family get away!

Absolutely beautiful batch, in such a prime spot. Great for the whole family, having your own jetty there. Will definitely be staying again! We all did not want to leave. Check in process etc was all nice and straight forward. Thanks! :)

Super spot

We found this property really great for us, Very clean, easy to use, heaps of fridge/freezer space, easy as to heat, wifi might have been a bit handy as cell reception not great, awesome jetty (maybe could use some cleats/tie points on outerside for larger boats or multiple boats. Would love to stay in this property again especially in summer!!!

Easter at Tarewera

Bach was old style, but very well equipped kitchen, excellent beds, comfortable and well looked after. Fantastic view, and wonderful to be able to walk down to beach and walk way. Warf tricky to use for bigger boats. Had a lovely stay. thankyou

Time out

It was perfect, walk down to the lake for a dip so refreshing. It suited us so well we had the young men sleeping in the garage and they were warm with lots of blankets. We probably used the stove once but mainly the bbq. The fire pot belly is a hit as it was cold. Everyone loved the bach sitting out on the deck looking at the lake. Norman was very helpful and came out to show us the switch to the stove...thank you. Would definitely be back again thumbs up

Awesome lake house

Classic old lockwood right on the lake. Totally awesome location with own jetty and convenience with the lake right on your doorstep. House was totally sufficient for our family with some really useful features, such as towel rails and wardrobes in the rooms. Every room has a view. Would definitely stay again. Quite tricky maneuvering a large boat down the driveway and would recommend leaving at the jetty during entire stay.

Fantastic location

This was our 2nd stay at this Lake Tarawera holiday home. We loved the location, private jetty and of course the stunning views. We were a little disappointed though that the house wasn't all that clean when we arrived including the BBQ. Also the kichen fridge door and oven door still dont close properly.
