The Smith House is perfect for multiple-families who are visiting for the Cooperstown Dreams Park, for extended-family gatherings, or for large groups who are here to enjoy the beautiful scenery and everything else that Cooperstown has to offer.

This beautiful 5 bedroom, 4,500 square-foot home has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Gather as a whole group in the Great Room or Basement Entertainment space, or enjoy a quieter experience in our Billiard Room, Keeping Room, or out on our spacious Deck.

Get outside to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit, or play a night game on the illuminated whiffle ball field. This secluded property offers 17 acres for nature lovers to explore to get outside and enjoy Upstate New York.

*Reservations are only available on a 6-night basis during the summer months, following the schedule for the Cooperstown Dreams Park.*

** We have added a Bunk Room, Locker Room, and Full Bathroom to the house. With these spaces, it is now a 6-bedroom house that sleeps up to 24 over more than 5,000 square feet. Access to this space is included in the rates during the summer months and will be available to all guests. It is NOT included in the non-summer months, but can be added for $250/night.**

The smith house is an ideal place to stay and experience Cooperstown. It’s spacious and comfortable with beautiful scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The house has a great kitchen for cooking with family and friends and a modern tub for relaxing. Communication with the owners was easy and predictable and we felt very well taken care of. I highly recommend this property.

House is not very well maintained, with bad odor in bathrooms and cabinets and door knobs damaged. Host was not very responsive to requests. A number of amenities could not be used as there were no supplies.

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us during your visit to Cooperstown. I am disappointed to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations and that it was so inconsistent with the other feedback that we receive. I understand that there were some loose doorknobs/cabinets that come as a result of the house getting a lot of use during the summer months; we do our best to stay on top of these things and rely on guest feedback in order to be able to identify and address these issues promptly. I am surprised that you feel I was not a very responsive host; we exchanged numerous messages before your stay, where I answered all your specific questions, and I provided you with my personal cell phone to reach out with any questions during your stay. We exchanged more than a dozen messages during your visit. Additionally, the amenities you feel you could not use due to shortages in ping pong balls and whiffle balls are highly subjective to the ebbs and flows from previous groups and are all readily available at many local stores. I am sorry that we did not anticipate these needs more accurately in advance of your stay. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share this space. I am very grateful to be able to do so.

The house was simply amazing. Exactly as advertised. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could ask for, the hot tub was huge and the perfect temperature, and the amenities (rec room) were fun for everyone. Would definitely go back in the future.

We rented this house for a bachelor get together long weekend, and it was exactly what was needed. The space was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The layout worked great for both hanging out together and having a little privacy when needed.The amenities were a big plus—everything we needed was there, and it made the weekend easy and enjoyable. The outdoor area was especially great big bonus was the whiffle ball court., and The overall vibe of the place fit the occasion perfectly.The host was responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole process smooth from start to finish.Wonderful home, thank you!

This is my childhood home, which we built in 1992, moved away from in 2004, and we purchased again in 2020. Having this home back in the family is the fulfillment of a long-held dream. I grew up here, I love it here, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with all who may visit.

Why they chose this property

This property is uniquely situated overlooking the Susquehanna River Valley, just a few miles south of the Village of Cooperstown. It is ideal for multiple families or larger groups visiting the area, and offers something for visitors of all ages.

What makes this property unique

The Smith House is located just minutes from The Village of Cooperstown, The Cooperstown Dreams Park, and Brewery Ommegang (among others). Even with this ideally-centralized location, the privacy and seclusion of the house is impossible to beat. With 17 acres to explore, visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful upstate New York scenery.

The house itself is beautiful, spacious, and recently updated with all new furniture.
