We always enjoy our visits to the gone fishing cabin! The hosts go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful and relaxing stay. always looking forward to the next one!
The cabin was great for our family. The kitchen was the best stocked we have had at a rental. Beautiful view from the cabin. Unfortunately the tide was high so we couldn't enjoy the beach during our stay
Great place. Very clean and relaxing. Good location for us because family is close but might be out of the way for someone looking for close to city. We love the countryside and area.
We stayed here for 2 weeks while our home was being renovated. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning over breakfast, and moonrise every evening over dinner. We watched otters, seals, sea lions, and one day there were whales passing in front. The house is cozy and comfortable and we greatly enjoyed our stay.
We absolutely loved this place. The views were amazing. We were very lucky and saw Orcas swim by. The host was very responsive. We will be back for sure!
We had the best 3 nights here, it was so hard to say goodbye! The views are unmatched, so peaceful to sit on the back porch or by the fire pit. We were lucky enough to watch orcas for several hours one of the days. The hosts were great, checked in to be sure we were all good and even shipped me a dress that I accidentally left. We would love to come back one day!
Perfect views, clean home, and very quiet neighborhood. Away from the hustle of the big city. We had a 25 ft RV, plenty of room to park. The street was a tad bit narrow, but there was parking in front of the house. There was also an overflow lot down the street.
Wonderful, peaceful property. My family stayed here for most of a week. Spent lots of time relaxing and eating meals on the large, amazing deck, exploring the beach front, paddle boarding, fishing and swimming. Owners were great at communicating and answering any questions. House is well maintained and stocked with most anything you could need.
We have been here before and every stay is a great experience. Great location for visiting our family and close to Gig Harbor and Bremerton. Deck is very scenic for being right on the water. We will be back.
Our family greatly enjoyed the cute house, property, Puget Sound, & all the little extras that were provided. I highly recommend & would love to visit again one day!
Great place to stay. Deck is overlooking the water. Neighbors are very friendly and the place is quiet. Not a party place but wonderful for seeing the local area and just relaxing on the deck.
Fantastic beach getaway. Perfect for families. Kids will love the beach and clubhouse and parents will enjoy the serene beauty of the location. 4th time staying here and can't wait till the 5th
We had a wonderful time at this place. Extremely clean and quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Beautiful view right on the water. Had a family of ducks that would swim by and visit every evening like clockwork. Saw a few friendly seals swim by as well. Host was responsive and everything we needed was supplied in the house. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.

Welcome to Gone Fishin' Cabin, our home away from home in the Northwest! My husband and I both have busy careers. And like most working parents, we are challenged by balancing family needs with work schedules. The cabin is our little Puget Sound waterfront get away from the chaos of normal life. Here, we can enjoy a stroll on the beach with the sea breeze in our hair, take in the amazing oceanfront view while sipping our morning coffee, and listen to the crashing waves from the deck lounge. And the best part, the kids can play on the beach, go clamming, learn to fish or kayak in front of the cabin. Happy memories are made of these...!
Why they chose this property
Gone Fishin' Cabin is in the amazing Puget Sound and within an hour from Seattle. We're super family friendly. It's easy to travel to the cabin, either by Ferry or by road. It's in a small rural village, but also close to Gig Harbor, a seaside port with a pedestrian waterfront, quaint shops, restaurants, and all amenities.
What makes this property unique
As a family, we love just hanging out by the water and enjoying a relaxing time BBQing, fishing, crabbing, clamming, kayaking, snuggling with a book, or playing board games. When we feel really ambitious, then we go for a long walk on the beach. Taking it easy is what we enjoy best at the cabin.
