Vashon Park District offers amazing stays in the two renovated Keepers' Quarters at Point Robinson Lighthouse. The two residences share the beach with the lighthouse and several outbuildings. Both are available for vacation rental throughout the year, offering you a wonderful way to enjoy the beach, Puget Sound, and Vashon-Maury Island.
Quarters B is a two-bedroom, one-bath, completely furnished unit with a full kitchen and sitting parlor. This house is restored to capture much of its historical 1919 condition. It can accommodate four to six people - with two bedrooms and one bath. The sunny kitchen in Quarters B evokes a time of homemade biscuits and slow Sunday breakfasts. The sitting room boasts period furnishings and contemporary comfort. This property is perched near the lighthouse on the shore of the East Passage in Puget Sound. It offers a wondrous porch looking out over the Salish Sea, and on a clear day, Mount Rainier (known as təqʷuʔməʔ or Mt. Tahoma to the Coast Salish people).
Quarters B is part of a duplex comprising half of the downstairs and the entire upper floor of the house. Our Caretaker lives in the other half of the duplex, and while the front porch facing the water is a shared space, the house has separate entrances for each residence.

This restored home is a treasure and the surrounding beach, lighthouse, view of the majestic mountain, which changes all day and evening long, the incoming rush of the tide, the bald eagles perching on tree limbs -- a feast for the senses. It's quiet and also so full of life!

Quarters B was better than all expectations. We leave in gratitude for the wildlife of the Puget Sound that we were privileged to see, the mountain across the sound, Oscar the Bird King, and the comfort of a period appropriate keepers house. We wanted for nothing and did not even get in the car to go to town.
The space was cozy and views were incredible! The caretaker was super friendly, and we mostly had the beach to ourselves in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again!
Excellent VRBO. Beautiful location and great experience. I did not realize that there was only a bathtub wirhout a conventional shower, but that was the only surprise

What an adventure! Crazy snow storm with a power outage (shout out to all the amazing folks involved in making sure we stayed cozy and safe) then gorgeous sunny/clear weather after. Epic views all around and literally steps to the water. We adored this place and would 100000% stay here again. Mohssaine the caretaker was SO nice to chat with. Eric went above and beyond and Cheryl was a delight to communicate with. 10 stars.

Thank you for staying with us, Lisa, and for such a kind review. It must have been an adventure indeed! We applaud your tenacity and patience while we tried to tame Mother Nature enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We sincerely hope you’ll visit us again soon. Warmest regards, CherylR – Vashon Park District | Lodgings
This is a beautiful location with stunning views that is quick and easy to get to from Seattle, yet feels like a real get-away! The charming, historic, waterfront house is very close to the lighthouse, and in the same park as Oscar the Bird King, one of the 6 giant wooden troll sculptures in the PNW. There are plenty of places to explore, shop, and eat on Vashon. And it is affordable!
Loved this place. Right on the water and lots of fun stuff to do in the area.

The lighthouse quarters is historical, beautiful and inspiring to be in. Back to another era! House literally in the water! Stunning. The Keeper next door was lovely to talk with, there if we needed anything! I am always going back.
Kitchen nicely stocked with dishes and cookware. Stairs to upstairs are steep and the claw tub although pretty was difficult for us.

Thank you for your review of our 100 year old Keeper's Quarters at Pt. Robinson, Vicky. We hope your stay was enjoyable and that we'll see you again in the future. Best regards, Vashon Park District
We have stayed here multiple times and this time was just as magical as all the other times. We had the great fortune of seeing orcas, otters, seals, herons, and the Low Tide Festival, too! Make sure you get a reservation at May’s for the best Thai food around.

Corinne we really love having you stay at Point Robinson Lighthouse.
So glad you were able to the Orcas and experience our Low Tide Celebration!
There is something really magical about staying in this lovely historic property. The isolation and rocky coastline, filled with nature sounds and wildlife feel me with calm.

Why they chose this property
Point Robinson Park is a 10-acre shoreline park, and, a historical and marine conservancy. It is located on the east shore of Vashon-Maury Island, off Point Robinson Road overlooking the East Passage. The site has provided fog and lighthouse service for vessels since 1885. The lighthouse has been fully automated since 1978. Vashon Park District owns the upland part of the park, and the remainder is on a long-term lease from the U.S. Coast Guard.
The property conserves an extensive sandy beach shoreline that wraps around the point, a saltwater marsh, and upland woodlands. Walking trails and a few picnic tables have been developed along the scenic shoreline providing dramatic views of East Passage, Tacoma, Mount Rainier, and the upper wooded slopes.
Pt. Robinson Stewards have fully restored the two Keepers' Quarters on the property for use as rentals. All proceeds from the rentals go back into the park's restoration and maintenance.
What makes this property unique
Point Robinson - what a special gift this property is to the people of Vashon. There are not a lot of places in the world where you can witness whales breaching an arm's length away and giant ships steaming by in the night, or watch Great Blue Herons fish in front of a lighthouse. And now, there is a Thomas Dambo troll art installation (Oscar the Bird King) located at Pt. Robinson Park as well, make sure you stop in to visit him while you're staying with us. So, on behalf of our Island and the Vashon Park District, welcome to Point Robinson Lighthouse. You're going to love it!
