This house was simply AMAZING - big with tons of bathrooms / bedrooms, clean, walking distance to town/restaurants/bars, ocean views, and Doug was just delightful to work with. We stayed two nights and truly had the most amazing time. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking to visit Block Island.

Great house for a big group! Lots of space, including multiple common areas. Beautiful views of the water and the farm across the street. Easy to walk to town, Ballard’s, and the ferry (even with the hill on the way back), great communication and accommodation from the host, and well stocked kitchen made cooking and spending time together easy. We would happily stay here again!

My large brood LOVED the size of the house! Each family had their own suite which ensured we were all happy!The location was ideal for walking into town, the farm, dinners , and even town beach ( 1 mile away)Douglas was excellent at replying to communication...immediately! I have so many pictures and memories and it seems like yesterday I was here with only 3 children, now it's 3 children plus their excellent spouses along with 5...going on 6 perfect grandchildren!!! My daughter was engaged here, my youngest announced their pregnancy!!Such memories.....

Amazing host and property

The property is perfect for a large group of people. There are many beds/rooms/bathrooms and great outdoor space. It’s an easy walk to the ferry/town so it’s a great location as well. The host was extremely responsive and made sure our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this property!

Block Island Fun

Great Location

Great Space

The house was very spacious with many bedrooms and incredibly close to town. Very easy walk to/from the ferry. Douglas was an incredible host - he was very friendly and incredibly accommodative. Highly recommend the house!

Amazing Location!

We stayed for a week - 3 families, the house has several bedrooms so everyone had space and was comfortable. The third level is great for a family - we had a room for our two kids and one for us, as well as a play area. The house is very convenient to town, we barely used our car. The property manager was very easy to get a hold of took the time to accommodate us when we arrived early. Highly recommend.

Lovely old inn

Our extended family, ages 1 1/2 to 80, numbering 16, enjoyed our week-long stay, giving the 5-13 aged kids the independence to bike or walk into town for ice cream, play games on the sloping lawn and have dinner on the long outdoor table. Excellent air conditioning came in handy. We took advantage of the Block Island Club’s week long membership for tennis and sailing - highly recommend.

In the Big House

The house and setting were superb. Eight former classmates from grad school after a 40 year separation convened there and loved it. Thanks go to Douglas Kennedy (our host) for making the arrangements and responding quickly to our questions and requests. He was genuinely concerned about us, and it was greatly appreciated.

Family Gathering on High Street

The Belleview House lives up to its name: gorgeous light and views from high up on the hill. We spent restful hours on the wraparound porch and taking in the views from the front lawn. The beds were plentiful and the layout of rooms was flexible enough to accommodate our family gathering of 5 adults and 4 teenagers, easily. We did not have a car and managed nicely with walks to and from town. We rented bikes from a place across the road, explored the island, dined out and shopped for groceries without a problem. The hill is long and gradual but too bad. We were surprised by the close proximity of other renters in the apartment next door. Everyone was friendly and respectful but having people so close by was a little unexpected. We are so grateful to our host for accommodating us at the last minute and for being flexible. He communicated well and made himself available although there really wasn't any need. Thank you for a lovely and memorable family gathering. We could not have done it without you!

Great Location with easy access to town

This house has plenty of space for large groups. We had 9 adults and 5 children under the age of 5. One family of 5 stayed on the third floor with 3 sleeping spaces and a common area that closed off from the rest of the house so they had plenty of privacy and space to spread out. The other family of 4 stayed on the second floor which also closed off to the rest of the house and had 2 bedrooms with a sitting area. Lots of privacy. The master bedroom was spacious. Everyone said the beds were comfy and the air conditioning was a huge plus!! The bathrooms are small, but it's an older house so to be expected. It has a large front and side yard to play games in. Plenty of parking. Huge dining table which you can't see from pics posted. The biggest drawback for our family was the common areas on the main floor were small. But there were two! Another big drawback was having to wash the sheets and towels. For the price of the house, you should really consider a service for that. This is the first time renting on Block that we were requested to do this. We also rented the apartment which was nice and 3 people stayed there. Overall I would recommend this house. Host was very pleasant to deal with.

Wonderful Stay!

Had An amazing experience with this property. Location is great, short walk to town. Plenty of room for our extended family. Comfortable beds! Beautiful views from front porch. Love that linens were included and plenty of towels. The host was very responsive to our needs
