* The cabin is about 15 minutes to Dollywood, Gatlinburg, and 6 minutes to Pigeon Forge, near The Shopping Outlets, The Island, Titanic, Dixie Stampede and all major attractions and restaurants on Parkway.

Perfect Wedding Weekend!

From check in to check out our stay was amazing and so easy! We hosted our wedding with our closest family and friends and the cabin was just perfect for what we needed. The kids loved the play areas! Overall it was a great stay in a beautiful location!

The Perfect Spot

Great place for a family reunion! We had 15 of us and ample space, nice views, great grilling area, playhouse and swings set for kids. Movie room and games were a plus! Fire pit outside was awesome! Check in a breeze and owner answered questions timely.

We loved the space, location and views on this property. The out door decks, fire pit and kitchen were great spaces. When we had an issue with the ice maker the maintenance were quick to respond and get it resolved. Overall a great stay for our family of 24.

Terrific Property and Location

We were very happy with this property. It was just as described in the VRBO listing. Everything in the house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor deck area with the kitchen (gas grill, Blackstone flat-top grill, sink) was a huge plus. Our group was 22, ranging in age from 1 month to 66. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen and eating areas were nice. The double decks with room to be in or out of the sun were great. Convenient location to go to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or the Park. We would definitely stay here again when back in the area.

The overall stay was wonderful! We hosted a small family wedding for our youngest daughter and the space for 38 of us was incredible along with all the areas to cook both inside and outside were used. There were 2 large refrigerators and 2 small frigs which were definitely utilized. I did not see or notice it had the 2 big frigs but again very grateful. The kitchen was pretty well stocked but could use more small (cereal size) bowls, silverware (just not enough if not washing after one meal) and wine glasses would have been nice. The space for 12 adults and 8 kids was incredible for those of us that stayed on property. Definitely a family friendly place and my 8 grandkids and adults had a grand time with all the kid friendly games and space. The kid playhouse outside was filled with stuff and not clean and a slight disappointment but we made it work.The interior was clean, the bedding comfortable, the bathrooms had plenty of towels and the hottub was an extra bonus and used several times. There were towels for using the hottub which was great. The outdoor space, chairs, and firepit again enjoyed and added bonus.The hosts were very responsive to questions and all needs. We were missing the smoker grill that was listed on the site and when I inquired we had it within 45 minutes. The ribs and pork butt cooked in it were loved by all.I highly recommend this location. It is an easy drive up to it, the views were beautiful, and not far from all the activities in Pigeon Forge.

My favorite vacation

This was my first time in the mountains, and I will never forget that first magical view from the deck. After spending the days in the chaos of a busy pigeon forge, this cabin was the perfect relaxation spot. It was quiet and calm. The kids had room to play, and the adults had room to relax. I will be missing that view for a long time. The cabin is beautiful and clean. Plenty spacious. I will miss this cabin for a long time.

Family all in one place!

We had such a wonderful time at the Big Kahuna. There were 21 of us total - 13 adults and 8 children under 10 years old! There was nothing lacking in this cabin - the outdoor cooking space and appliances were beyond perfect! So much space for all of us to get outdoors or stay inside, depending on the day. The property and the neighbors were wonderful and we had an amazing vacation there. We even renewed our vows in Gatlinburg for our 45th. Anniversary. Blessed to have all 6 grown children and their families with us. Couldn’t think of anything else we needed while we were there. We did call maintenance about 2 little issues and they came and were very helpful! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Top of the World View

Our family has rented large cabins every Christmas for the last several years. The Big Kahuna was by far the best equipped we have ever stayed in. All high end appliances, fully stocked kitchen with any utensils you might need. The most amazing views and outdoor set up you can ever need. We felt like we were secluded and had tons of privacy. Communication with the property managers was fantastic. Tiny issues were addressed immediately. Ample amount of towels, etc. If I have to list a negative at all, it would be that the mattress in the master needs replacing soon and the confusion of trying to navigate the media room remote. Maybe better instructions for us older folks as our young ones figured it out just fine. We will be back to the Big Kahuna. Thank you for an amazing time and new memories with our family. Overall, you cannot go wrong choosing this cabin. We had plenty of room for our group of 21. Gene and Ana were so helpful and were Johnny on the spot to help us. Thank you again for an amazing stay!!

Mixed feelings

This property has a lot of great potential. All of the adults on our trip agreed that we would love to actually own the place. The cabin’s layout was great. Plenty of room. Good location. Really nice views, and the outdoor kitchen/deck area was amazing. However, there are issues: 1- several of the mattresses need replaced, especially I can speak to the master bedroom on the main floor. Horrible mattress…painful to sleep on…old…really old. 2. The internet. The owner has a sign up about the internet being only for checking emails and doing basic online searching. It goes on to say something along the lines of you are here for the mountains, not the internet and you can’t expect to have good internet here in the mountains. I suppose that sounds reasonable…except that it isn’t. We have been going to the Smokies for about 25 years now. Starting about 10 years ago, high speed internet became common place in the rental units we were finding. We have stayed much further out, in much more remote areas and never had internet service this bad. In this day-and-age, high speed internet should be the expectation. Not some snarky comment telling you to get over the fact that you don’t have it. 3- the online pictures (at least at the time we viewed them for making our rental) lead you to believe there are two hot tubs. There is only one. One hot tub isn’t a big deal other than the fact that the pics have you expecting to find two. 4- the listing makes mention of high end finishings. Not so much. Besides the mattresses that need replaced, lots of the furniture was clearly past it’s life expectancy. Some things were high end, like the kitchen appliance and the outdoor space, but overall, I can’t agree with the idea of high end finishings. It honestly has the feel of a “flip”…buy a mess…put some lipstick on it and sell for a profit…or in this case, rent it out. 5- the front door needs serious attention. It is warped to the point that the electronic lock can’t operate properly. You have to push/pull on it to allow the lock to work. The little kids in our group were unable to open it. That could be a serious safety issue in an emergency. 6- The swing set in the front yard isn’t anchored properly. 7- one of the upstairs bathroom had no blinds/curtains on the window. Overall, the place has real potential. Unfortunately it gives you the sense that this is only an investment and the owner has probably never tried staying there themselves for any length of time.

It's under 7,000 sq. ft., on one acre and the location along with the views are rare to find. As soon as I stepped out onto the balcony I was stunned by the beauty of the scenery!

What makes this property unique

15 minutes to Parkway, the outlets, restaurants and all major attractions including Dollywood. This Cabin is also easy to get to with ample and flat parking. No funky curves! At the end of a cul-de-sac on the top of the mountain. Has numerous decks with a large outdoor kitchen area. The children's area is set up for them to have hours of enjoyment.
