We have stayed here before, so had to book again! Love this cabin and all the bears! It’s perfect for family getaways! And the view, sunset and sunrise is beautiful. Definitely need to be a morning person with the sun rising right into the primary bedroom!

We enjoyed our stay at Dancing Bears. The home is well appointed and comfortable. I had concerns about driving my Altima up the steep gravel road but we made it! The road is a difficult to navigate at night, but after you go up it a couple of times you figure out the areas to avoid. The hot tub was a major plus!!

everything here was incredible - it was clean, there were many amenities, check-in and out were smooth and efficient. the cabin is great, with three comfortable beds. the road leading to the house is gravel and one lane, but we didn't run into any problems with any cars coming in the opposite direction; just something to be aware of!

Great location for my niece’s wedding at The Barn venue. My son, his wife, and their son had the downstairs and it was a perfect fit for them with us upstairs. Would highly recommend it. Clean with nice amenities. Close to downtown West Jefferson.

Family trip

We came to the mountains for a little bit of hiking, some rafting, and shopping. All tasks were accomplished by having a good relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day. The house has great views and is very comfortable.

Outback Vibes

Awesome cottage. Plenty of space and all the modern conveniences in a rustic looking cabin. You might want to ha e 4WD if there is rain, since dirt roads to get there are a little treacherous. But is definitely worth the adventure.

I do not want future guests to get the wrong idea. Regardless of which direction you travel around the lake to get to our home, the roads are maintained crush and run gravel. Of course torrential rains can be problematic no matter what vehicle you are on. The only time you need 4 wheel drive is when it snows with ice. Most of our guests drive 2 wheel drive, including sometimes ourselves. I realize you had guests on a motorcycle, however, many of our guests want to do some mountain biking. My husband is a pro at thar and loves to share his insights when you tell us in advance.

Daughter’s Wedding a Wonderful Success. Great Place.

Loved the place. So cute. Everything was amazing. We just didn’t realize there were no doors on the master bedroom. That would have been nice. But overall amazing. Unbelievable views!!!!

My family (group of 6) were very comfortable during our stay. The house is snug but very homey! It was very well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. The view of the sunrise from the balcony is super pretty! The way the bed is positioned allowed for us to enjoy the sunrise without getting up. The GPS directions will send you to the wrong entrance, so make sure to follow the instructions given by the host. The road leading to the house is gravel and very bumpy. We had a truck but my broher had a car and it did fine going up. The weather was amazing during our trip. The host had great recommendations and we really enjoyed visiting down town west Jefferson. We really enjoyed the antique shop! They had so many cool and interesting items. Over all had a very relaxing stay.

FANTASTIC owner

The only hiccup the entire stay had NOTHING to do with owner but she immediately went out of her way to help correct it and within five minutes even that was taken care of. Truly amazing views and the area is perfect. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary from both of us.

2023 Girls Trip

The listing for this property doesn't do it justice! So nice, so clean... the space was perfect for 4-5 friends. The hot tub was very nice and we spent a lot of time doing crafts at the downstairs table. The view was beautiful at sunset and we had everything we needed. Deborah was so nice and helpful! The property was only about 10 minutes from Walmart too, so we were able to go get snacks! Loved our stay!

Lovely house. Beautiful view.

The two decks overlooking the mountains are lovely and the hot tub is very nice (great sunrise from the hot tub). The house is nicely appointed with so many things you might want - cards/board games/cornhole, two single cup coffee makers, an awesome kitchen range (nothing like cooking in a kitchen with mountain views!), two full size fridges, lots of seating options, blankets for getting cozy, I could go on! Loved that it is only 15 min from West Jefferson which is a surprising great little town. The host is so helpful and responsive to top it all off!

Why they chose this property

We had searched for several years for the right spot. When we first visited the property and saw THE VIEW we knew THIS WAS IT!

What makes this property unique

Experiencing the Dawn from the main bed is spectacular! The chef has every possible need but the food itself, complete with an incredible view for preparing memorable meals. Or enjoy the plethora of local restaurants. Enjoy local scenic attractions or relax on the large deck complete with tables for eating outside or corn hole games.
