About this property

Southwest Harbor Cottage Overlooking Harbor and Gardensthe

Our charming 2 bedroom cottage sits in Southwest Harbor on prestigious Clarke Point Road. It is across the street overlooking beautiful gardens with a small view of the harbor . It is situated halfway between the village and Beals Lobster Pound. Relax on the front deck for lunch or on the chaise lounge to read a book. Smell the salt air and enjoy peeks of lobster boats, sailboats, and the actions of a working harbor. The cottage is located right in town with sidewalks that meander down to the town dock with gorgeous views of the harbor. Walk to the iconic Beals Lobster Pound, The historic Claremont Inn, and gourmet restaurants are blocks away.. No need for a car. You can walk to town and dine at gourmet restaurants, outstanding breakfast cafes, shop at upscale boutiques, specialty wine, cheese, a great library, and a playground for small children. You may also flag down the free Acadia Bus in town. (Late June into October) for a ride to any part of the island: towns, hiking trails, movies. You can walk into town and rent a bike and load it up on the bus to be dropped off anywhere in route. The location allows for great independence for all, especially older children.
