The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking utensils, coffee maker, pots and pans, everything thing you might need. The home was extremely clean and quiet. Backyard was wonderful. Patio dining set, lounge set and hot tub. The communication with the manager was great, very responsive. Close to several restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to the nearby attractions.
Check in was a breeze. Extremely clean with all the goodies. Hot tub was a very nice addition to get in a relaxing stay. Super close to the water in a very quiet nice neighborhood. Will stay here again!
The bungalow was better than advertised. Very clean and well equipped. Location was great with quiet neighbourhood and a great host. Would highly recommend!!
We spent a long weekend in Havasu and LOVED our accommodations. The home was clean, well-organized, great amenities and the hosts were on top of everything! The kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook in (entire spice rack was awesome) and we took advantage of the grill too. Highly recommend.
We had a blast, Oatman is a must see and Desert Bar in the middle of nowhere. Lake Havasu is so fun. We enjoyed every minute of our week there. We will be back.
This home is beautiful, very relaxing in a great area. We really enjoyed just checking out the town, and having a soft place to fall after our adventures. Thank you
This was a great choice for staying in lake Havasu. Close to everything. Enjoyed a boat rental for a day, golf, and the best part was coming back to a hot tub. The owners were great and immediately responsive. Home was nicely stocked and very clean.
This was our best vacation ever at this home. It was clean, gorgeous and in a great neighborhood. We loved the hot tub and backyard set up. We would recommend staying here for anyone. The owners were helpful, kind and professional. 15/10 stars!
This is an awesome home that is very well stocked! It is in an excellent location in Lake Havasu City. The time that we spent in the backyard was also very relaxing for us and it includes both a hot tub and a gas bbq grill. We stayed for a month and it felt like home to us…only about 50 plus degrees warmer than our weather at home which was great. Ed and Sarah are very caring and awesome hosts!

Scott and Diane were amazing, wonderful people. They stayed a month and had activities planned every day! Pleasure to talk with - they left our home better than they found it! Looking forward to seeing them again next season! See you both next year! 😊
Thank you so much! The house was very neat and clean. Hot tub was relaxing by the fire.
The host were very helpful and answered questions immediately.
Would definitely recommend and would stay again. We didn't want to leave but we're both working parents so we HAD to!
Thank you so much.
Sarah and Edwards place was absolutely perfect for us! Our hosts made us feel absolutely at home from the moment we got there. Their vacation rental is very well appointed and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time outside in the backyard, simply sitting at the patio table. Ample room to be in the sun or shade as you'd prefer. The hot tub made our trip even more enjoyable. It's the absolute best place to watch the sunset over the lake. There's even a nice little seating area in the front of the home! We are already talking about coming back in the late fall to enjoy this beautiful home again. Thank you Sarah and Edward, we appreciate that you made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lake Havasu.
I had everything packed, boat hooked up ready to go. Planned on leaving at 2:30am so we were able to fish a good portion of the day. Considering I had a 2 day tournament and like to pre fish. As Im about to leave, I notice a message from Sarah cancelling my booking. Claiming they already had rented this property. I’m sure she wouldn’t appreciate if someone cancelled on her in the same manor. I had received confirmation the day prior, payment was sent and confirmed, received instructions to enter property and at 2:30 am in the morning, to receive a message that my place to stay has been cancelled really screwed things up for me. That wasn’t cool. Thanks

Hello John-
I completely understand how stressful and confusing those few hours must have felt, and I’m truly sorry the situation impacted your plans.
For accuracy, I’d like to clarify what happened on our side. The property had been reserved by another guest for nearly a month. Due to a rare software error, the system mistakenly allowed a second reservation — yours — to be created at 11:00 pm. Within minutes of receiving it, we reached out with an apology and offered to move you to a comparable property at a steep discount, with a full refund on the original booking, so your trip could continue uninterrupted.
We didn’t receive your reply until around 2:30 am, when you wrote: “I’m alright, I’ll keep this property and I’ll be there at 10:30 am to check in.” Unfortunately, we could not cancel an existing month-long reservation to accommodate a second booking, and a 10:30 am arrival isn’t permitted under our check-in policy unless it is specifically approved in advance. In situations like this, Vrbo requires guest cooperation to resolve a double booking; otherwise, the host must cancel and accept the penalty.
Since you chose not to proceed with the alternative property and intended to arrive that morning — the same day the original guest was checking in — we had no option but to cancel the second booking on our end. Vrbo charged us a $400 cancellation fee as a result.
We truly regret the inconvenience and wish the system error hadn’t occurred. I hope the rest of your tournament weekend went smoothly.
About the host
Hosted by Sarah Padilla
Hi, we're Sarah & Edward — your local Lake Havasu hosts. My family and I live here and genuinely love everything the area has to offer, from boating and off-roading to sunset dinners and lively nights downtown. The Hideaway on Kirk is part of our Weekend at Bernie’s collection of thoughtfully cared-for homes, each designed to reflect the relaxed, fun, and easygoing spirit of Havasu living. We take pride in creating spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, and well looked after, so guests can settle in quickly and enjoy their time here.
Thanks so much for stopping by and considering a stay with us — we’re happy to help if any questions come up along the way.
Why they chose this property
We chose this west-side neighborhood for its quiet, well-established residential setting and easy access to everything Lake Havasu has to offer. The area is known for well-kept homes, pride of ownership, and a calm atmosphere that stays peaceful in the evenings. It’s close to the lake, launch ramps, dining, and shopping, while still feeling removed from the noise of the main strip. Guests appreciate the relaxed pace, simple boat and trailer access, and how easy it is to enjoy the day, then return to a comfortable, private home to unwind.
What makes this property unique
What makes The Hideaway on Kirk unique is its sense of privacy and calm — a space designed to feel tucked away, comfortable, and easy from the moment you arrive. This isn’t a flashy rental or a high-traffic vacation home. It’s a peaceful desert retreat where everything is set up to help you slow down, settle in, and feel at home.
The name The Hideaway reflects exactly what guests love most about staying here — a quiet, private place to retreat after time on the lake or exploring town. Mornings are unhurried, evenings are relaxed, and the home naturally encourages a slower, more comfortable pace. From the cozy interior layout to the private courtyard and hot tub, the space is designed for rest, connection, and simple enjoyment.
Professionally cleaned and thoughtfully maintained, the home is intended to feel fresh, welcoming, and lived-in — not overly staged or impersonal. We’ve created The Hideaway on Kirk as a place guests return to for how it feels: calm, private, and genuinely comfortable, every time.
