We're NJ natives but now split our time between Maine and Florida. Of course there's something great about each of these places, which is why we enjoy both! Unfortunately, our business in Florida keeps us there for much of the year, so we allow guests to use our home while we can't.
Why they chose this property
Our family has been coming to the Maine Midcoast region for over 70 years. We found this gem of a property in 1980, and decided to purchase the house pretty much on the spot. In 1989, we completely rebuilt the cabin, and over the years I've made steady improvements so that most of our renters consider it their 'home away from home'. Every time I drive down the lane, the view amazes me, and I remember why we first fell in love with it and why we've stayed all these years.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing, relaxing, relaxing. The views from the front porch. Watching the lobstermen work, the birds fish, the foxes sun, the fish jump, the tide come and go. Lobster and clam dinners fresh from the sea. Reading a book on the waterfront. Access to local trails, boat launches, harbor cruises, antique dealers, arts & crafts, historic sights. Being away from the hustle and bustle of home and work. Did I mention it's relaxing?
