Enjoy this charming oceanfront cottage with its expansive panoramic windows. With 175 feet of private oceanfront beach at your doorstep, you'll enjoy unparalleled views of Bass Harbor.
Located on the serene "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island, this cottage serves as an ideal home base for your exploration of Acadia National Park.
This cottage was featured in both Condé Nast Traveler and Vice as one of of the Coolest Rental's Near a US National Park.
Just a stone's throw (less than 45 feet) from the ocean's edge, our tranquil cottage offers an unparalleled view of the charming lobstering village of Bass Harbor. Here, you'll be immersed in the quintessential Maine experience, with the salty sea breeze on your skin and breathtaking 180-degree vistas of the harbor and ocean. Whether you're indoors or outdoors, you'll be captivated by the mesmerizing wildlife and the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea. Follow the meandering stone footpath down to our 175-foot private rocky beach.
Perched right on the waterfront, our cottage gives you the sensation of being on a boat.
A short 5-minute drive takes you to Southwest Harbor, home to exceptional dining options. Explore charming shops, wine and cheese stores, ice cream parlors, and bike rentals, all just minutes from our haven. Bass Harbor is known as the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island, offering a peaceful escape from the tourist crowds of Bar Harbor, which is a scenic 30-minute drive away. Our neighborhood is serenely quiet and filled with friendly locals.
Our cottage accommodates a maximum of 2 guests, making it ideal for adult couples or solo travelers. Please note that it is not suitable for children or those traveling with pets.
We prioritize cleanliness with utmost dedication. Freshly laundered sheets and duvet covers await you in the bedrooms, with duvet covers being laundered after every guest.
Here's what you can expect in the cottage:
High-Speed Wi-Fi (100 MBPS) is provided; however, we intentionally do not have a TV. Mount Desert Island is simply too beautiful to miss; there's an abundance to explore and experience outdoors!

• 2 Large drawers for storage, plus 2 additional closets in the hallway with hangers

Our property is in Bass Harbor, a cozy village close to popular spots like Acadia National Park, Southwest Harbor, and Seawall. It's a short drive to the Ship Harbor trail and Wonderland Trail. You can easily walk to Bass Harbor boat excursions and the Swan's Island ferry. The house is at the end of a private road in a very small, quiet community.
We do not have a dishwasher or washer and dryer.
