You'll relish the peaceful serenity of this beautifully appointed 1-bedroom mountainside apartment while appreciating its convenience to South Asheville's shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Located on the lower level of our home in an upscale development, we offer our guests absolute privacy with the assurance that we are closeby should any need or question arise.

There's nothing better than a good night's sleep in the mountains, and you're sure to sleep like a baby on your comfortable king bed with 100% Egyptian cotton bedding, laundered without dyes or perfumes. The bedroom, which can be darkened even in the daytime, has it's own TV, a recliner, and the convenience of a large en suite bathroom with tub/shower, plush luxury bath towels, and hair dryer.

Whether you plan to cook gourmet meals or just make morning coffee during your visit, you'll appreciate the fully equipped kitchen, featuring all brand-new appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, icemaker, and coffee maker. The kitchen's bar area seats 3 and opens into the spacious living room, where the plush sofa offers a great place for a nap or for watching your favorite TV show.

Your private entrance features a 10 x 10 deck with majestic mountainside views and fresh air amidst a rhododendron grove. It's a great place for breakfast before a hike or shopping excursion, and it's the perfect spot for a drink in the afternoon before heading out to dinner at a nearby restaurant, to a concert or the theatre.

A private washer/dryer and iron in the apartment make laundry convenient for those planning longer visits. You'll also appreciate the central AC/Heat, ceramic tile floors, ceiling fans, Wifi (please note that our DSL service -- although the fastest available -- accommodates only limited UP-load speed), and 2 flatscreen satellite TVs offering all major pay/premium stations.

Those wanting a place to get away from their everyday routine will appreciate the fact that cell-phone reception here on the mountain can be limited.

Located within 15 minutes of downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville Airport, Asheville Mall, and many other major places of interest, this mountainside refuge offers the best of the area's beauty and conveniences.

Great place to stay

This is a lovely apartment, well appointed, beautiful views and easily located near everything. Tim was very personable and easy-going. We loved the quiet, too.

Dark winding mountain road

The apartment was clean and comfortable . Had a small problem with tv but Jeff responded immediately and reset the service . If you plan to bring a dog be aware that due to location there isn’t much yard area to walk a pet especially at night, unless you are willing to walk down a steep driveway and along a very very dark mountain road . Returning to the apartment , after sunset , can be harrowing for those that are not use to a pitch black winding one way mountain road. Once you make your way down the mountain, to the main road , the commercial area of south Asheville is very close by and convenient. In summary, if you like secluded Mountain View’s this is the place for you.

Few hiccups but works for the location and price

We arrived to an icy deck with porch chairs blocking the entrance door. We knew right away something was amiss. After calling and texting one of the owners and not getting a reply we knocked on the front door of the home (VRBO is a walkout basement attached to home). We were told they had us down for another date and were not prepared. We went to dinner and gave him time to get the place ready. Obviously this got us off to a bad start. Things improved once we got back and got in. The wine, snacks, water, juice and the coffee bar are a nice touch. I felt the bathroom, baseboards and floors could have been cleaner but maybe they got hurried and didn't have time to do a deep clean once we showed up "unexpectedly". There is a noise coming from the bathroom exhaust fan when it is off almost like the wind is blowing something. We use a white noise machine so it didn't bother us but may bother some. The kitchen is well equipped and you could prepare every meal there. We were given a 10% credit for the mix up which was a nice gesture and the proper thing to do. Overall not a bad place to stay for the location and money.

We had a great stay. The apartment was attractive, clean, well-equipped and in a beautiful setting. Convenient Location

Property location close to many attractions in Asheville. It was a bit difficult to find; lots of winding roads and minimal cell coverage to use the map feature. The property was not cleaned as well as we would expect for a vacation property and appeared to be in a remodel phase outside. Adequate kitchen amenities and a gracious basket of snacks to enjoy! Beautiful area for hiking!

Beautiful Wooded and Quiet Environment

This is a lovely apartment. It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. They have all the essentials provided for you along with some extra goodies ( nice bottle of wine). The apartment is in a lovely setting . With a nice front porch with rocking chairs so you can sip your wine or coffee and enjoy the wooded setting. The very large bed was comfortable. This is a place that I would stay at again if I was in the area.

Terrific Experience

We had a lovely stay in Asheville. The property was even better than represented, and our hosts were a delight. It was so comfy we spent an entire day just reading an watching videos. We cooked breakfast nearly everday in a well appointed kitchen. Our hosts provided info about local restaurants and things to do, and most importantly...a map! We had a great time and this apartment was a great place to rejuvenate at the end of the day. I highly recommend this home.

Hidden Gem

From the start this was a excellent experience. Great communications with the property owners. Arriving at the property we found a welcome basket of snacks, and bottled water in the refrigerator waiting for us. Information notes about every feature were plentiful and welcome. Great apartment in beautiful area

This is a very nicely laid out and decorated apartment with everything a person could need for their stay. Check-in and communication were great. Though the apartment is in the owner's home, it is private and I never heard any noise at all. Their home is in a lovely wooded neighborhood. Would love to stay here again.

Peace and quiet

Spending several days at two family reunions was exciting and exhausting. Could not have found a more peaceful place to rest in between busy days. Most appreciative of a comfy bed, excellent shower, and a bottle of wine! We did not meet the owner, however, we knew he was as close as the phone. We'll be back!

A Lovely Mountaintop Hideawahy

We had a wonderful stay for the second time. One night we had supper on the porch. It almost felt as though we were in our own little tree house high up on the mountainside. Beautiful place, and Tim and Jeff are lovely hosts. Super clean, too.

Great Place to Stay!

A big thank you to our hosts! Al the information we needed was provided and directions were just right. This is a very comfortable, well appointed apartment for two. The home is in a very beautiful mountain setting and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch when all you can hear is the creek and the wind in the trees. We did a little both of eating our and in and had everything we needed at the apartment. I highly recommend this lovely place!

We have always loved the Asheville area because of its natural beauty, its emphasis on the arts, and its concern with the environment. We were fortunate enough to make a permanent move to the area in 2005. We love our home and its location here, and we are happy to be able to share a part of it with those who are looking to enjoy a vacation in the Asheville area.

What makes this property unique

The best part of our property is the combination of privacy and an 'away from it all' feeling in a beautiful mountain setting while at the same time having access to all the conveniences we need within a 5-10 minute drive.
