The property was clean and welcoming. The ocean views were beyond words. Waking up to the sunrise and call of gulls was exactly the relaxation needed. The host was very attentive and thoughtful.
Very nice oceanfront peaceful well appointed comfortable furniture. Kristen answered quickly and assisted as needed. Would just say if older adults with knee or ambulatory issues both bedrooms and bathrooms up fairly steep stairs.
Everything about our stay was lovely. From falling asleep to the crashing waves, to waking up to the crashing waves, to the beautiful home that had everything we needed. frienneighborneighbors,
We loved our stay here! So nice and relaxing and a super quiet neighborhood! Great location too! It was so great listening to the ocean to fall asleep and wake up to a beautiful sunset! And we got to watch the surfers! The cottage is cozy and warm and we loved the GIANT Uno cards! We wished the blinds worked a little better, we couldn’t close some of them. Great kitchen! Great place to stay and we will definitely be back! Loved the cute pumpkins in the flower boxes! Thank you for everything!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
On the positive side, the location is great. The view east over the ocean is spectacular, the neighborhood is quiet (in mid-October, at least) even though the houses on either side are very close. The house is clean and well-provisioned in the kitchen and bathrooms. The multi-zone heating allowed us to keep some rooms warm and some cool. There are lots of good seafood restaurants nearby. On the negative side, the furniture is very uncomfortable. The seat cushions on all the leather couches are very soft and squishy, so when we sat on them our hips sank very low--we ended up sitting on layers of pillows laid along the couches. I stretched out for a nap and the cushions sank so low that my tailbone rested on what felt like the metal frame of the couch. The lack of a bathroom on the first floor is an inconvenience, and the stairs are quite steep, so someone with compromised lungs or legs would find them a challenge. For some reason, there are no room-darkening shades on the east-facing master bedroom windows (even though there are vertical blinds on the downstairs sliding doors and the north- and south-facing master bedroom windows) so trying to sleep past sunrise was difficult. The TV is a smart TV but includes only a basic cable subscription, so we were unable to watch live network sports coverage on ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, TBS, TNT, and TRU.On balance, we found the negatives--most importantly the uncomfortable couches--outweighed the positives, so we won't be going back.
