Enjoyed my stay and being close to a friend in Tavares who I spent time with while there. The amenities were good. The mini-split heat air conditioner worked well once I figured out how to operate it.

Cozy for 2 people for 2 days. Everything inside was new. Bed was comfy, water was hot, kitchen made it easy to cook breakfast. New vinyl flooring was easy on the feet.

Host was good. The place was clean and newly updated. The unit was smaller than I expected. It looked larger on the pictures. It was part of a trailer park but the neighborhood felt safe.

The unit felt brand new, updated, and very clean. Tony was great and easy to communicate with. We also appreciated having direct canal access for our boat, which was very convenient. The only downside was the surrounding location. The trailer park itself never felt unsafe, but the area outside of it felt somewhat sketchy, especially after dark, and there is no security gate. We would not have felt comfortable walking around the surrounding neighborhood at night. Overall, though, the unit itself was excellent and worked well for our boating trip.

So sorry you felt unsafe but I assure you as a young female I safely walk around at night with no issues. My young kids also safely run around wherever they’d like with no issues. We are a small family owned and operated business in operation over 50 years now. The surroundings are 55 and everyone in the community is very close. We are not a trailer park but we are a 55 adult only community with some mobile homes. There is no gate but we do have security cameras everywhere. We would love to show you around more if you visit again so you feel more secure. We appreciate the compliments about the cottage and it’s actually getting another remodel currently so hopefully it will meet more guests standards.
