Beautiful historic renovated house

We absolutely loved our stay here. We originally booked for one night and extended another night as we loved this location! It’s just down the road from Peppa Pig theme park, Legoland, and Bok Tower Gardens. Walking distance to the lake and playgrounds! The house is historic on the outside but newly renovated on the inside! Two very comfortable queen beds, full kitchen, incredible walk in shower and the host leaves little amenities like snacks, toiletries, and even spices and foil. It was located in a safe, quiet area and our elderly cocker spaniel even found himself comfortable. We plan to visit this property again soon! Don’t pass this one up!

Me and Tina were both born in the 60's and have lived in Lake Wales our whole lives. I am a computer programmer for a large company out of New Jersey and I teach taekwondo in the evenings. Tina manages the taekwondo school with after school care.

Why they chose this property

We live very close to this house ourselves. We love this historic downtown atmosphere. It is close to everything, like the playpark, the walking and bike path, the ball fields, as well as the stores and restaurants. The neighborhood is very friendly and for the most part quiet, unless there is a school ball game happening. Since we a block from the field we can hear the games from our front porch - which we also enjoy listening to.

What makes this property unique

The house is 80-100 years old. It has the original plaster and lathe walls and the original floors. we bought it the kitchen area had been eaten by termites and so we had to rebuild a lot of those walls and floors. The bathroom floor had also rotted, so we had US Cabinet and Designs come in and give us a new kitchen, bathroom and floors. They also refinished the wooden floors throughout the rest of the house. We could not save the windows on the kitchen side of the house but the rest of the windows are original. There is still a lot to do with the house but we love how it is. Its the best of the new with the old charm still shining through.
