A light-filled cottage on a picturesque road in the quaint town of New Marborough in the Southern Berkshires. Simple and well-designed, with many delightful moments.
Garden bedroom with en-suite bathroom/shower; all living spaces on the ground floor; the second-floor and attic bedrooms (3 total) share one bathroom.
Decks, wood-burning hot tub, BBQs, lawn, fruit trees on property; swimmable lake, café, restaurants, church, and trails in town.
We love our East Hill Road. You can walk (10 min.) to a nearby well-maintained lake in a state park. You can drive (10 min.) to an exceptional cafe that offers amazing pastries and a casual menu. There are three other restaurants within a 10-minute drive that offer a range of fine dining from classic to world cuisine and experimental.
If you are coming to New Marlborough, you probably already know what the Southern Berkshire has to offer. Great Barrington and Stockbridge are 30 minutes drive away. Jacobs Pillow and Tanglewood are 40 minutes drive away. MaSS MoCA and the Clark Institute are within a 1-hour drive.
There are numerous trails, lakes, waterfalls, and state parks to explore with breathtaking beauty all year round.

We are a Brooklyn-based family of four. We came across this house 20 years ago when it was only a one-bedroom cottage. We fell in love with the charm of the house, the garden, and the road, and have been making careful alterations to it over time. It was the perfect playground for the kids and a perfect hideaway for us. Now we would love to share this with other big and small people who could also appreciate the beauty and tranquility this place can bring.
Why they chose this property
We had known the cultural offerings the Berkshires have to offer, and loved the quiet nature here. Over the years, we have discovered an increasing number of cultural offerings and beautiful trails and lakes. The Berkshires keep on giving, all year round!
