Grand Colosseum Home is a large 2,150 sq ft (200 sqm) ground-floor apartment with 6 bedrooms, designed for guests who want to stay all together under one roof in the very heart of Rome, while enjoying space, comfort, and easy accessibility.
The apartment comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests and is entirely located on one level, with no architectural barriers, making it particularly suitable for elderly guests and travelers with reduced mobility. Wide doorways, step-free access, two fully accessible bedrooms, and a fully accessible bathroom with roll-in shower ensure ease of movement throughout the home.
Located on the ground floor of a historic Roman building, the apartment opens onto a typical internal courtyard. While this means less natural light than upper-floor properties, it also offers important advantages: excellent sound insulation from street noise, a quieter atmosphere, cooler temperatures during summer months, and very easy access without stairs.
Layout and Spaces
The apartment consists of six bedrooms:
four double bedrooms
one single bedroom
one bedroom with two single beds
Two of the bedrooms are fully accessible.
There are four bathrooms, including one fully accessible bathroom.
Important layout note: Due to the apartment’s layout (created by combining two originally separate units), one bedroom is accessed by passing through another bedroom. A second internal entrance is available as an alternative route. Guests should be aware of this feature in advance, especially if privacy between rooms is important.
The heart of the home is a large living and dining area, designed for shared moments. A large and comfortable dining table seats up to 12 guests, making it ideal for family meals and time together.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with induction cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and cutlery — perfect for guests who enjoy self-catering.
Comfort and Amenities
For comfort during warmer months, the apartment is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms (available seasonally in compliance with local regulations). During winter, the apartment features central heating by radiators.
All bedrooms are equipped with TVs, and the apartment offers fast Wi-Fi throughout.
For safety and peace of mind, the apartment is equipped with all required safety devices, including smoke detectors and emergency equipment.
The building features an on-site concierge service, providing additional convenience and reassurance, especially for international guests.
House Philosophy
This is a private home, not a hotel. It is designed to offer space, practicality, comfort, and an authentic Roman living experience, rather than luxury finishes or hotel-style services.
Since 2009, we have been welcoming guests from all over the world, with particular care for families and groups looking for a reliable, well-located home where everyone can stay together.
Location
The apartment is located on Via Labicana, in a central and convenient area of Rome. It is well connected by both metro lines serving the historic center: – Metro Line B – Colosseo station, within walking distance – Metro Line A – Manzoni station, also easily reachable on foot
Several bus lines and taxis are available nearby. Despite being in the city center, the internal courtyard location ensures a quiet and peaceful stay.
Arrival and Support
Guests are welcomed at check-in by a competent and reliable person, who will explain the apartment and answer any questions regarding the house and its facilities.
We believe in a personal, clear, and human welcome, rather than long written instructions. During the stay, we remain available for support within the limits of a private home.
Legal Compliance
The property operates fully legally and is authorized by the Municipality of Rome, in full compliance with Italian regulations.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

About the host
Hosted by Salvatore
Hi there!
My name is Salvatore Rinaldi, I was born in Rome in 1974, and yes — I’m a true Roman DOC 😊.
I originally trained as a professional chef, studying at the Italian Chef Academy in Rome. I then worked in one of the city’s most prestigious restaurants, Il San Lorenzo, where I refined my passion for traditional Italian cuisine — especially classic Roman dishes.
Cooking is still very close to my heart, and I truly enjoy sharing it with my guests. If you’d like, I can organize a private chef experience at home during your stay: think carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, plus homemade bread, pizza, focaccia, fresh fish, great cheeses, and carefully selected Italian wines. Just let me know — I’ll be happy to arrange it for you.
On a personal note, I’m married and a proud dad of two wonderful daughters. They were actually the reason for an important career change in my life. Alongside my love for food, I’ve always had a passion for jewels, ancient coins, gemstones and minerals, which led me to study at the International Gemological Institute in Antwerp, where I became a certified Gemologist.
Several years ago, I left the restaurant world and started a new professional chapter. Today, I work as a forensic gemologist and numismatic expert, collaborating as a consultant with the Criminal Court of Rome.
I look forward to welcoming you and helping make your stay in Rome comfortable, memorable, and truly authentic.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it offers a rare balance between history, convenience, and everyday livability. Being just a few minutes from the Colosseum means guests can experience Rome’s most iconic sites on foot, without relying on transportation.
At the same time, Via Labicana is a real Roman neighborhood, well connected but not chaotic. Shops, cafés, restaurants, public transport, and taxis are all close by, making it especially comfortable for families, senior travelers, and multi-generational groups.
What we enjoy most is the ability to stay in the heart of the historic center while returning home to a quiet, residential atmosphere, where daily life feels easy and authentic rather than tourist-driven.
What makes this property unique
What truly sets this property apart is the rare combination of generous space, step-free accessibility, and an exceptional central location. Finding a 200 sqm home in the heart of Rome that comfortably accommodates large families and multi-generational groups—all on one level and just minutes from the Colosseum—is extremely uncommon.
The ground-floor layout, wide spaces, and accessible bathroom make the apartment especially suitable for senior travelers and guests with reduced mobility, while the large living and dining areas allow everyone to stay together and share meaningful time.
Located inside a quiet inner courtyard, the apartment offers peace and privacy despite being in the historic center. Since 2009, we have welcomed guests from all over the world who value practical comfort, honesty, and reliability over luxury, and who appreciate a home that truly works for traveling together.
