Welcome to the rustic Stratton Cabin! Tucked away at the end of a long private driveway, the place features its own pond and a hot tub under the stars. It is cozy, secluded, and feels like a true Vermont getaway. Whether you`re warming up by one of the two fireplaces or exploring the big backyard, it’s the perfect spot to disconnect.
☀ Mount Snow: 8 min ☀ Stratton Mountain Resort: 11 min ☀ Grout Pond: 9 min ☀ Wilmington (Shopping/Dining): 20 min
THE SPACE - HIGHLIGHTS ☀ Private Pond on the property (great for scenery!) ☀ Private Hot Tub on the back deck ☀ Two wood-burning fireplaces ☀ Secluded location along a road that doesn’t see many cars ☀ `Bunk Room` in the basement (great for kids)
THE VIBE This is an authentic rustic cabin. It’s cozy, wood-paneled, and feels exactly like a mountain hideaway should. My favorite spots are the living room by the fireplace or out on the back deck overlooking the grounds, and by the pond.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON STAIRS: Please be aware that this is a true rustic cabin. The stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms and down to the basement are very steep with narrow treads. They are more like a cross between a ladder and a staircase. This home is likely not suitable for elderly guests or young children who are not confident on stairs.
KITCHEN & DINING The kitchen is ready for your morning routine with a Keurig, a standard drip maker, and a French Press. The dining table is cozy (seats 4), perfect for small breakfasts before hitting the slopes. The breakfast bar seats an additional 3.
BEDROOMS & SLEEPING (Sleeps 12) • Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): King bed. • Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): Queen bed. • Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Queen bed (cozy/small room). • Bedroom 4 (Basement): The `Bunk Room` featuring two sets of built-in bunk beds (4 twin mattresses). • Landing (Upstairs): There is a twin bed and trundle bed at the top of the stairs for extra sleeping space.
BATHROOMS (2.5 Total) • Upstairs Bath: Shower only (shared by the 3 upstairs rooms). • Basement Bath: Shower only. • Main Floor: Half bath.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS The property is super private. You have a big yard, a large back deck with the hot tub, grill and outdoor table with seating for 6, an outdoor fire pit for s`mores, and of course, the pond. It’s incredibly peaceful out here.
REVIEWS I just started renting out the place, but this is not my first rodeo. Here are what some past guests at another property had to say: “Great communication from before our trip to after, very responsive in general.“ - Haley “Tommy was a great host and very responsive.” - Veronika “Tommy has gone above and beyond in his offering, service, and communication.” - Greg
GUEST ACCESS ✔ Parking for 7 vehicles in the driveway ✔ Self-check-in with your own door code ✔ You will have private access to the home and grounds to yourself. Just a heads up: The sauna is currently out of commission and locked off as a supply closet, so it is not available for use.
