On horseback between Earth and Sea, 8km from Surgères and its beautiful medieval castle but also 20min. from Niort and 30 min from La Rochelle.
Domaine du Coudret and its authentic Charente house, the farmhouse, offer comfortable and neat accommodation in an authentic, natural and warm; built in the heart of the fields and a short distance from amenities and tourist sites (La Rochelle and its towers, the Ile de Ré and its typical villages, the island of Oleron and its beautiful beaches, Fort Boyard and its tigers, the Marais Poitevin and its boat rides, the Futuroscope and its new technologies, the Puy du Fou and its fabulous shows ...), comfort, calm and space take their meaning here.
The house, decorated with care, offers you a capacity of 8 people, for your stays of short or long duration.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely relaxed stay at Le Coudret. Joelle was very welcoming and we felt at home straight away. We loved the pool and table tennis especially! It was a lovely peaceful spot well located for visiting La Rochelle and the surrounding area. Merci beaucoup Joelle!

Perfect holiday

This is a very lovely holiday home - spacious and comfortable and we really enjoyed our week here. We also plan to return. Great location for a quick drive to La Rochelle and ile de re etc. Both beautiful locations. The swimming pool was superb and facilities in the house perfect. It’s a peaceful and relaxing location too! The host, Joelle, and her husband were very friendly and helpful when we needed them. We thank them for a lovely stay and hope very much to return.

Agréable séjour proche littoral et Marais Poitevin

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Domaine de Coudret, bien situé pour nous qui voulions visiter le littoral (La Rochelle et l’île de Ré), le Marais Poitevin et le Futuroscope de Poitiers. A l’intérieur du gîte, petit bémol : pas de réelle pièce à vivre - il y a un salon TV (avec une DVDthèque impressionnante !) en mezzanine sous les toits et une petite piece de transition entre la cuisine et l’étage dont nous n’avons pas trouvé l’usage… Nous avons pris tous nos repas sur la table en extérieur (espace petit mais fonctionnel). Par contre les chambres sont très spacieuses, avec vue sur le parc, chacune bien décorée (et dans des styles différents) et les salles de bain attenantes sont également de très bonne taille. Un petit rafraîchissement des sols a l’étage serait un plus (moquette dans la chambre blanche un peu fatiguée et le sol en coco a souvent une odeur un peu forte). Pour information (nous n’avions pas compris en lisant l’annonce), la maman du propriétaire, Chantal, vit dans le même bâtiment. C’est une dame charmante et pleine d’attention (elle nous a apporté une délicieuse compote maison et nous a proposé d’utiliser son sèche-linge car celui du gîte était en panne !). Enfin, l’espace piscine est bien entretenu et offre des couchers de soleil somptueux sur la campagne.

Je vous remercie pour ce commentaire détaillé. En réponse, les pièces de vie sont expliquées dans le descriptif mais je vois qu’il me faudra ajouter plus clairement la présence des propriétaires sur le domaine, mais nous ne partageons aucune pièce et le gîte a sa propre entrée et exposition sans vis à vis ni nuisance des autres habitants du domaine, nous nous soucions de l’indépendance de chacun. Je suis heureuse que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour dans notre gîte et j’espère vous revoir.

Très grand gîte à la campagne, beaucoup de calme et d’espace

Nous voulions des vacances reposantes dans une région chère à mon coeur, nous avons été enchantés par la disposition du gîte à plus d’1,5km des premiers voisins (sans compter les chevaux, les ânes, les vaches et notre ami le chat) très bien situé entre le marais poitevin, Surgères, la Rochelle, Rochefort pour les visites et activités, randonnées à pied ou à vélo sur place il n’y à qu’à sortir du domaine ! Surgères et Mauźé sur le mignon pour les achats de première nécessité. Charmés par la décoration et les 2 grandes chambres. Les grands enfants enchantés par la piscine toute à notre disposition. Les propriétaires sont présents sur place, discrets et sympathiques. Merci pour l’accueil chaleureux, vous n’êtes pas à l’abri de nous revoir ! Corinne, Franck et la famille

Une adresse à retenir

Très bien situé entre Niort et La Rochelle. Gite de caractère très calme et propre. Bien équipé. De l'espace. Le plus de la piscine (si beau temps et suivant la périodedelocation !). Accueil sympathique et discret avec disponibilité en cas de besoin. Bref une très bonne adresse pour se reposer et visiter les environs.

Au calme et au vert

Séjour très agréable, dans un environnement de campagne calme. Un grand jardin pour les enfants, aucune voiture à proximité, vraiment idéal pour un week-end repoussant entre balade et farniente. Les chambres sont très très spacieuses avec livres, DVD, et jeux à disposition. Parfait en famille.

Mooie, ruimte slaapkamers met ieder een eigen badkamer, alleen goede ventilator of airco werd gemist. Ruime keuken ook, in de ‘eetkamer’ zou een mooie eettafel met goede stoelen een goede toevoeging zijn, maar wel een fijne plek om te koken. En toen het gas niet werkte mochten we koken in de keuken van de buurvrouw, de oma/moeder van de familie, die alleen woont naast de gite. Woonkamer is een prima plek voor de kinderen om te spelen. Zwembad lekker groot. Al met al een fijne plek.

Lovely stay in small cottage

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, but it was only suitable for four adults - plus 2 children- no more. The sitting room was tiny and upstairs, so we relied entirely on the pool. The weather was scorching so could keep cool in the water. Enjoyed La Rochelle and Ile de Re very much.

Tolle Unterkunft!

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gestaltet. Es ist alles da, was man sich wünscht und sehr sauber! Der Pool wird ab und zu auch von den Vermietern genutzt, was wir aber fast gar nicht bemerkt haben. Joelle und Christophe sind perfekte und sehr nette Vermieter. Chantalle, die Oma, hat uns mit sehr leckeren Pflaumen und Marmelade versorgt. Unsere Tochter hat sich auch mal um die Pferde kümmern dürfen. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Accueil sympathique et aux petits soins tant par Joelle et Christophe, que Chantal ... Dans une maison a l'écart des routes ! Silence garanti ! Charmant gite avec une belle propritete bien entretenue, piscine (avec nage contre courant), bbq a dispo bien équipé, table d'extérieur. Orientation ouest pour entree, courette et jardin avec vue sur la piscine. Une cuisine grande et bien équipée avec une vue sur la courette. Une belle dvd thèque dans une mezzanine salon sans vue ou degagement. Des chambres spacieuses et SdB bien équipées et lumineuses (orientées Sud)!
