Beautiful cottage in an amazing location
Miller's cottage is beautiful, really well decorated and was impeccably clean on arrival. We had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us and there was everything in the cottage you could want in a home from home. Vicki is a friendly and welcoming host who was there if we needed anything and was happy to recommend places to visit

We are just home from 4 fantastic nights at Millers Cottage! Such a warm welcome from Vicki, and a great welcome pack of local produce in the cottage along with basket full of logs and everything you could possibly need for a cosy, relaxing stay! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, plenty of space for our two boys to run around and lovely peaceful sitting areas to look out over the sunsets! A perfect and immaculate little cottage in idyllic countryside
We were greeted on arrival by Vicki and shown to the cottage. We were given a thorough explanation of the basics and instructions were left on the dining table for everything else. A lovely basket of goodies was left for us on the table, including milk, teabags, coffee jam, eggs and even some sweets!
Our stay was perfect, with just the right level of communication from Vicki to ensure a pleasant stay. Surrounding countryside and views are out of this world!

Thank you for taking the time to leave me such a lovely review, so glad you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future when you next visit Northumberland.
Millers Cottage and The Granary once belonged to the miller who operated the water-driven corn mill and managed the surrounding land at Holburn Mill Farmhouse. While the exact construction date of the cottage is unknown, it had been inhabited for over 130 years. Historical records show that at least eight people once lived in Millers Cottage, which has now been modernised for guest comfort. The original fireplace in the living room, which once provided cooking and heating, adds character to the property. And The Granary was a large open plan store for all the milled grain.
My family & I moved into the Farmhouse in 2016 and the whole property/site was going to be a project! I obtained planning permission in 2018, and extensive renovations began in 2019 on the building transforming the space with essential utilities and modern amenities, including heating and bathrooms!
Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility along with the unique charms of Millers Cottage and The Granary during their stay. The property combines historic features with contemporary comforts, providing a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
