About this property
2BR · Hand-painted tiles · Private pool · Walk to Malecón
Summary:
Richly decorated with saturated colors and hand-painted tiles traditional to Mexican design, Casa Linda is as welcoming and comfortable as being in your own beloved home. Nor will you be short on privacy, since the first bedroom is downstairs, next to the pool and the second bedroom is upstairs in a darling “granny flat” unit. We also love that it is just steps away from our famous malecón beachside promenade, as well as a few blocks from our most beloved local restaurants.
The Space:
Casa Linda is not an impersonal “house” but rather a true home, full of warmth and character. It’s so cute my daughter-in-law wants to steal it!!!
Traditional ceramic floors and intricate murals cover the well-lit, rustic rooms, all of them vibrant with the colors and textures of Mexico.
The kitchen, dining room, and living room together create one large common space. It opens up into the backyard terrace and pool area, which can be independently accessed through the master bedroom.
The backyard “granny flat,” which sports its own kitchen, affords the possibility of housing an additional party—friends, children, or the in-laws—providing the privacy of their own environment, while keeping the proximity one gets by sharing a house.
Casa Linda has a very spacious garage with an electric door, easily capable of fitting two SUVs.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to all areas of the house, including the bedrooms, granny flat, kitchen, living room, dining room, backyard terrace, pool area, and laundry room. There are air conditioning units in every room of the house.
We take pride in using non-toxic cleaning products for our housekeeping service, providing a healthier and more natural alternative, while being just as effective to synthetic-based conventional cleaners.
We are making efforts towards water conservation in La Paz. We are adopting water-efficient technologies, growing mostly native vegetation in our decorative gardens, promoting responsible water usage, and building urban rainwater capture basins.
Finally, we provide canvas grocery bags you can use in your trips to the local stores, farmer’s and fish markets.
The Neighborhood:
A two-minute walk away is the seaside promenade. When you’re not in the mood to stroll or splash in the warm waters, you can explore the many restaurants and bars that overlook the Sea of Cortez.
Just around the corner from the house is a small restaurant, La Casa de La Abuelita, with regional snacks and hors d’oeuvres.
Only a block away is our favorite breakfast place, María California. Within the same radius are two great restaurants: La Casita, an excellent place with tasty salads and entrees and a nice patio bar, and Dulce Romero, a hip, organic sandwich shop and bakery. There is also a great butcher shop nearby where you can buy excellent meats in case you want to have a cookout.
Casa Linda is the perfect place to explore Baja California Sur’s only true Mexican city, set like a pearl in the crown of the Bay of La Paz. Your days can be spent wandering the shops and markets, strolling the Malecón or heading to the islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, or playing with the sea lion cubs.
Getting Around:
From the La Paz airport: You can take a taxi or rent a car.*
To the boardwalk , restaurants, bars, downtown and main square where the cathedral and plaza are located, the farmer´s market, municipal market and supermarket: All are at WALKING DISTANCE.
To the outlying beaches: You can drive, or take a taxi, or a tour. If you take a taxi, do not forget to arrange your return or ask him to wait for your.*
General Notes:
•You can take the public bus one block from the house.
•And you can take UBER to go to everywere (except the airport).
*We can make arrangements with reliable drivers without extra costs.

Spacious, clean, great location, attentive host. Loved having three bathrooms. Kitchen equipped with all necessities. Very enjoyable place both in the house and in the restaurant area of La Paz.
We loved the secure parking, fresh drinking water, full kitchen and comfortable beds. Great house instructions and location close to the Malecón, Deli, coffee shops and dining.

Great property to visit while we were in La Paz. Close enough to walk down to the Malecón and other local restaurants. Place was clean and properly appointed with everything you’d need on your vacation. Would definitely stay here again. House rules were more than reasonable and host was very responsive.

Excellent location, clean, well laid out, super comfortable bed (bed particular), and nice kitchen and master bed room. Sofa's were slight uncomfortable for watching TV, 2nd bed would a bit small for couples. Location is hard to beat, and easy walking. Great little Italian restaurant across the street. Would without a doubt would stay here again. Ana was great host.

We enjoyed our time at Casa Linda. Lower level has one bedroom and a sofa bed. Great patio in the back with a small pool. Upper level is another bedroom with its own kitchen, bathroom and small terrace. Ideal for 2 groups that want to stay together and still have some privacy.

This is the second time and second property that we have stayed that is represented by Ana. We have used VRBO all over the world and Ana is by far the best manager we’ve worked with. The properties she manages are tastefully decorated in local themes, clean and well maintained.

Casa Linda is a very peaceful home in a nice neighborhood. Lots of nice restaurants in walking distance and just a few blocks from the west end of the Malacon.
We definitely would try to book this property again if we were planning another stay in La Paz. We just used the main floor. There is a very nice room upstairs that has a kitchenette and bathroom. It would be perfect for sharing the property with another couple or adult.

Clean and comfortable! The beds were heavenly and the plunge pool was fabulous! Well stocked kitchen and only 2 blocks from the malicon. The best part however was the property manager. Very prompt and accommodating! We accidentally left some cash, and was returned! Will definitely be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

We loved our stay at Casalinda! It is secure, comfortable, quiet, clean and located within walking distance to the waterfront, lots of restaurants, bars etc. There are helpful and thoughtful touches throughout the house and we loved the plunge pool. My son loved having his own apt. on the 2nd level too. Ana was super helpful in answering questions I had and even went above and beyond in returning some clothing I left behind! :):) def recommend this place!

Ana is a wonderful host, very attentive and responsive. Property is clean, and we felt well cared for throughout our stay.
Lots of fabulous restaurants within walking distance, although many of the sidewalks on this side of town are cumbersome, unfinished, or non existent. Not easy to go by foot if you require a device or stroller.
AC units work very well and kept house cool, but there are very large gaps at all doors.
We slept comfortably and felt safe in the house and around La Paz. We would rent from this management group again.

We liked Casa Linda very much. It is a very comfortable house and it had everything we needed. It is a nice neighborhood close to everything.
We were surprised that we had to go outside and upstairs to access the second bedroom. Also, there is a problem with the lock on the door handle upstairs.
We really appreciate that we were able to check in early when we arrived on the first day. The communication from your team is excellent.
We will look to rent a Vrbo with you again on a future trip to La Paz.
Thank you

We stayed at Casa Linda for a month. We wanted to stay in a modern house near the Malecon and it lived up to our expectations. From the time of first enquiring, through our stay ,and ultimate checking out, contact with Ana Carolina was first rate. Response not measured in days or hours but most times in just minutes. The layout for Casa Linda is good and particularly so for two couples given the upstairs granny flat. We felt very secure in Casa Linda and had no problem walking to nearby restaurants in the evening. If you don't want to walk, a $40 Mex-peso Uber ride will take you to almost any location in Zona Central whether restaurants or other shopping. Casa Linda was well equipped with quality towels and linens. Cleaning, both for the home and pool was good and very well organized. We have stayed at 25-plus short term rentals and we had the best sleeps at Casa Linda. I do not hesitate in recommending Casa Linda, it was a great stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay, and feel at home. It was just perfect for myself, my husband, and my in-laws. It is super convenient at three blocks from the malecon (and our favorite helados and paleta shop, which we walked to every night after dinner), had everything we needed to feel at home. Spacious, yet cozy. Beautiful outdoor patio area with a hot tub. Full kitchen (we cooked dinner every night with the fish that the guys caught each day), filtered water, washer/dryer, air conditioning, secure off-street parking. The host was super helpful and always got back to me right away, when I had a question. We could not have felt safer. Each door and gate had two locks, which was actually the only bit of hassle - keeping track of all the keys and the codes. But I promise you will feel safe and secure in your home away from home. The photos portray this home accurately. Very reasonably priced. We'd stay here again, if we get back to La Paz.
Thank you, Joe, for taking your time to write us a review.

My name is Monica. I grew up in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, and have lived La Paz for the last six years. During that time, I've grown roots into the community through educational programs and efforts to advance environmental conscience in the form of organic gardens, recycling, and sustainable water-management practices.
Why they chose this property
Casa Linda is not an impersonal “house” but rather a true home, full of warmth and character. It’s so cute my daughter-in-law wants to steal it!!!
Traditional ceramic floors and intricate murals cover the well-lit, rustic rooms, all of them vibrant with the colors and textures of Mexico.

What makes this property unique
It has a fully furnished independent second floor apartment accesible by stairs.
As La Paz doesn’t have a city recycling program, we go the extra mile and arrange for recycling ourselves. We offer recycling bins for our guests, which we then transport to proper recycling facilities outside of town.
