About this property

Farm to Table Valley close to Asheville! Hearts-A-Bustin log cabin

Historic log cabin nestled in the sought after Sugar Hollow neighborhood. Located in a peaceful farm to table valley in SE Asheville, containing two of Asheville best local farms Hickory Nut Gap (meats) and Flying Cloud (vegetables/flowers) . An easy less than twenty minute drive from downtown Asheville. This 950 sqft two bedroom log cabin has recently been lovingly renovated to maintain its historic charm. Sit on the back porch and enjoy the sounds of the creek or swing in the back yard hammock while enjoying the fire pit. The all stainless steel updated kitchen has everything you need. The full bath includes a walk in tiled shower. King bed located in the downstairs master with Second king located in private loft.

Located in North Carolina’s scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville has a unique mix of hipster coffee shops, award-winning restaurants, outdoor activities, and more breweries per capita than anywhere else in the US. Asheville was rated the #1 US travel destination by Lonely Planet. The historic Biltmore Estate is one of the most frequently suggested places to visit in Asheville. George Vanderbilt’s gigantic, hundred-year-old property is quite busy all year long.

Just above the cabin is an easy drive thru Hickory Gorge, with many hiking trails, to Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure. Well known for its role in the hit movie Dirty Dancing, Lake Lure is a sanctuary for serenity and relaxation. Its unrivaled beauty is just the beginning of what you’ll find here. Take a boat tour of the Lake, play on the beach, swim, hike, mountain bike, climb a shear rock face, fish, boat, kayak or just relax.

Hearts-A-Bustin is a native shrub found in the Southeast. It thrives in shady woodland slopes. In the fall pink capsules split to reveal orange red seeds. This beautiful native is the inspiration for the log cabin name and can be found to the right of the fire pit.

Beyond Wonderful!!!
What a beautiful and cozy place. Perfect for small families or two sets of adults. Two king size beds make a great place. Upgraded kitchen and bathroom. Convenient to Asheville, Black Mountain and other areas. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to come back.

Honeymoon 1B
Had such a great stay on our honeymoon in June we had to come back. It did not disappoint! This cabin is a perfect home base for exploring the Asheville area. We enjoyed lunch at Little Switzerland and Black Mountain. A day hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and relaxing by the fire in the backyard. Comfort in a cabin. This is the real deal!

A Little Piece of Heaven
Absolutely beautiful and the extra touches make you feel a bit special. We were greeted with a sign for my Mom at the door that read Happy Birthday. We then walked into fresh cut flowers on the table and a bottle of wine in the fridge with another note reading Happy Birthday. So very special for my mom. The property is breathtaking, and the house is super clean. There were so many special touches you know they take pride in their home. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful log cabin
The cabin is beautiful, very well appointed, and a great central location! It is an easy drive to The Biltmore and many hiking trails. This property is exactly as advertised, maybe better. The cabin feels secluded and private, but anything you might need is an easy drive away, including several grocery stores. It is the perfect place to relax or a central location to get out and keep busy!
