Located just four miles from Downtown Durango, in the stunning Animas Valley, our quiet woodsy retreat offers you privacy, comfort and easy access to the area's great activities. Satellite TV, free WiFi, fresh coffee and herbal teas tempt you to settle in for a cozy stay, but there's so much to do! We're located on a county road with world class golfing (Dalton Ranch) and rejuvenating hot springs (Durango Hot Springs Resort) just five minutes from your door. Durango's best bakery (Bread) is about a mile away, and is open for early risers! Best of all, it's completely quiet here - no 6 am Train whistles, no sirens, no in-town traffic. Our home is tucked into the forest against the base of red rock cliffs; out your back door you may see deer, elk, wild turkeys and an occasional silent coyote wander by.

It was unknown that we would have to hike up stairs to reach the entrance.The communication was less than hoped for especially on asking about checking out.

It was the perfect fit for our weekend. It is located right off of a very handy bypass. We could get to town very quickly, or drive behind all the city traffic and come out north of town for our excursions to Honeyville and Silverton. The room was clean and had everything we needed. A warm thank you to our hosts who made our stay easy and enjoyable.

The manager,Alison, was very friendly. The Red Rock room was nice and quiet and we enjoyed staying there. It’s close to all the activities we had planned around Durango.

Absolutely what I had hoped for. While the listing says “Historic Downtown Durango” the property is tucked into the gorgeous foothills outside of town, so don’t be fooled by that. The room is spacious, the owner gracious, and the location gorgeous. I will absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay and Alison is a great host. However, there was a glitch in our reservation process. The Vrbo map feature indicated that this was a downtown location when it is not. Great time in Durango
Nice place in Durango. Convenient to Durango and the activities north of town. It was quiet and comfortable with everything we need.

Cozy and clean
Very clean and cozy property, with quiet and pretty setting only a couple of miles from downtown. A small but very nice place for our getaway.
