An incredible stay in a most perfect cottage for my husband and I. Esther and Daniel are fabulous hosts. Gorgeous fruit trees on property in a lovely garden to wander. The views were incredible. Sunsets were spectacular. I felt the magic of the island in this home and cannot wait to return.

This was the perfect Hale for our Hawaiian getaway! Our hosts were so welcoming and made sure the place was well stocked for us. Kitchen had everything we needed and they even included beach gear and fresh fruit from their property. Highly recommend! 1000 out of 10.

The stay was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Super private! A nice quiet getaway packed with paradise views and only a 10 minutes from downtown Kona.The place was a great size for two people. Cute cottage that has the feel of a loft. It’s light and airy with lovely views and nice outdoor seating. I always love when we are on an island and the host has beach chairs to take to the beach! Thank you for the amenities, treats and coffee…and the use of your lovely cottage. Mahalo!!

Wonderful stay at such a beautiful property that had everything needed for a perfect visit to Kona and Big Island. The location is great for exploring the Big Island and views are amazing. Excellent communication with our hosts who were so welcoming, thank you for sharing this lovely property with us! Highly recommend staying here and would love to stay again

From the minute we arrived at this charming, well-kept cottage, we knew we had lucked out. The view is stunning—and my husband and I spent some of the happiest hours of our trip sitting on the deck, sipping Kona coffee (thank you, Esther!), and listening to birdsong.

Fantastic stay!

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The view was spectacular and the back deck was perfect for meals, working or just relaxing. It was great to stay in a neighborhood a little bit away from the main resorts and hotels. Owner was very kind to let us check in early due to a flight change too. We would definitely return!

Great "home base" for couples visiting the Big Island. Awesome views & accommodations. Minutes to town. Quiet and in a great neighborhood. Beautiful property!

Great place to stay on the Big Island

My wife and I loved this place. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is easily accessible in the hills just above Kona with a beautiful view from the lanai. Very homey and just the right size for two people. If we someday return to the Big Island this is where we would stay.

Beautiful place

We loved our time at the Hale Maluhia. It was spotlessly clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. It was a pleasure meeting Daniel he always communicated well and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view off the back lanai is amazing! I would definitely stay here again.
