Beautiful historic waterfront cottage on the Indian River. Convenient to many local attractions; Cocoa Beach (15 min), Port Canaveral (15 min), Space Center (25 min), Orlando (40 min). Within walking distance to Cocoa Village which offers theater, restaurants , cafe’s, and nightlife. Come watch the dolphins on our private dock!!! We have kayaks, coolers, beach chairs and towels available for your stay. The cottage is the perfect place to get away relax and unwind. We look forward to your stay!!!!!

Second visit great as the first

We love this cottage. This is the second year we've taken a weekend trip here from our home a few hours away. It's the perfect size, very clean and well kept, and has everything we needed. The best part is the location: walk to the village for an evening performance at the Cocoa Village Playhouse, walk to restaurants, hop on bikes for a scenic ride right out the front door. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the dock at sunset while watching the dolphins jump. We even saw a SpaceX launch!

Cute cottage!

Really enjoyed our stay. Loved the dock on Indian river, nice place to sit & relax. Clean & cozy! Nice location for ease of getting to shopping & restaurants.

Beautiful quiet spot!

We felt completely at home in this beautiful and clean space. We highly recommend and hope to stay here again next time we are in Cocoa.

Anniversary trip

My husband and I stayed the weekend here and loved it! The house was clean, beautiful view of the river. We ate dinner on the private dock and watched for dolphins. We had a blast!

The adventure we needed.

We had such an amazing time at the Hummingbird Cottage. The private dock was absolutely beautiful, we couldn't get over all of the wildlife we encountered. We are from the desert so we don't experience things like this. So many sea creatures and we even saw a Manatee who swam by us almost each time we went down. He would roll on his side as he passed the dock to say "Hi". Oh and there were the cutest little armadillos and squirrels that hung out in the garden by the cottage. The cottage was the cleanest VRBO that I've ever stayed it. Immediately upon walking in it was nice and cool and smelled so clean and fresh. The place was spotless and I know this will sound weird but the sheets smelled sooo good, we slept so well! The attention to detail with the decorating was on point and all the little luxuries throughout shined! Thank you Lisa and Mark, we truly loved your cottage. We will most defiantly book again.

Amazing place to stay!

The property is clean and cute and super comfy. Plenty of shopping/groceries close by. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. Access to a private dock was super handy and we used it quite a bit. 15 minutes to the beaches. Lots of great places to eat within walking distance. My wife and i will absolutely be booking here in the future.

Cute cottage on the river

Lovely cottage in a quiet, upscale neighborhood yet near all amenities. Nicely adorned with fresh yet classic atmosphere. Comfortable King bed. Access to dock made for pleasant sunset hour. Loved our time there.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Gorgeous little cottage, perfect for two. Easy walk to downtown Cocoa Village for coffee and shops. We sat on the dock to watch a Falcon 9 launch. Sorry we missed the dolphins but other than that it couldn't have been more perfect! We definitely recommend Milpa Tacos y Tortillas (just point yourself toward Cocoa Village and follow the road until it becomes Brevard), and Cafe de Havana for morning coffee. We tried Cafe Margaux (make a reservation) and it was decent - great service and ambiance, food was meh and went to French Delights bakery one morning when Cafe de Havana and Ossorio were closed. French Delights was a little fussy; the coffee was so-so and the pastries looked great (I am celiac so we weren't able to try them)...the owner was a little intense. NASA/Kennedy Space Center is only about a 20-30 minute drive and we enjoyed a full day there. Another afternoon, we drove to Cocoa Beach and found a state park access that was lovely and not too crowded. Absolutely perfect weekend in this adorable cottage! Thank you.

SIX STARS

I wish I could give Hummingbird Cottage Six Stars. The cutest cottage with so many special touches. The location across from the river that we could see from many rooms and a great view from the screened porch. We enjoyed several hours sitting on the dock. Dolphins visited us in the distance. I stomped my feet on the dock and they swam to the dock. What a treat. Loved the shower room it was great. The cute kitchen had everything we needed and the vintage touches throughout the cottage were adorable from the enamel 1950’s kitchen table to the stained glass window in the bath. I enjoyed the small den and the ladies writing desk that looked out to the river. We had breakfast and dinner on the screened porch again with a view of the river. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the ceiling fan. There were even beautiful plush robes waiting in the bathroom. Our only regret we should have stayed longer. We will remedy that in the future with a longer stay. Finally being able to walk to Cocoa Village easily and enjoy the restaurant's, shops and the park was ideal for us to get in our exercise and stay out of the car which was securely parked in our own driveway. We will be back soon.

Wow! Beyond expectations!

This quaint little gem of a cottage was fantastic for me and my husband. It’s was just the right amount of space to relax in and feel at home. The place was clean, inviting, and beautifully and thoughtfully designed and decorated. It was stocked with everything we needed and we had access to bikes, laundry, and beach towels/chairs/ coolers. Lisa and Mark made our stay easy and the local dining and shopping recommendations they gave us were helpful. We walked 10 min to Cocoa Village and drove 15 min to Cocoa Beach. We would love to visit this cottage again. Thanks, Mark and Lisa.

Beautiful quaint cottage

We could not be more pleased with our stay. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable. Exceptionally clean and the updated bathroom/shower is awesome. Enjoyed sitting on the screened front porch reading and watching the river across the street. Dock is a great place to relax. Short walk to restaurants, shops. Going to miss walking to get coffee and pastries in the mornings. Kitchen has all we needed for quick meal or warming leftovers. Mark and Lisa answered questions immediately. We could not be more pleased with the lovely cottage. Will not soon forget this stay and will be back next year!

Perfect location- better than staying on the beach

We've visited the Space Coast many times over the years, often staying in beachfront hotels. This was by far our favorite place to stay. So relaxing, clean, and beautiful! It was an easy and safe walk from the cottage into Cocoa Village at night for dinner and to catch a play at the Cocoa Village Playhouse. Early morning coffee on the front porch while watching the sun rise over the river across the street. Long bike ride up Indian River Drive and back. (We had brought our own bikes but I the property has bikes you can use.) Sitting on the dock at sunset with a glass of wine while watching the dolphins come in. Long bike ride the next day in the other direction. Everything is super clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Lots of nearby restaurants. Grocery store a short drive away. The only negative, just a minor complaint, is that it's not 100% quiet. Depending on the wind direction, we could hear traffic from the causeway, a train rumbling through town, and Friday night speeders on Indian River Road. But that was more than offset by the quaint peacefulness. We will return for sure!

Lovely Cottage

The cottage is ideally located within walking distance of Cocoa Village which has lots of quaint shops and a good number of bars and restaurants. The property is exactly as detailed in the listing. We had great fun fishing off the private dock and riding the provided cycles. There was also coolers and chairs for the beach. The Kayaks are in good condition although we didnt use them. Fishing rods were also available to use. The hosts Mark and Lisa couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and I would definitely return.

I was tempted to give a bad review just so it would be easier for me to return (ha). But the owner(s) deserve better as this place was outstanding on all counts. So glad I found it and definitely plan on returning.

Would not hesitate to return

This property and location is a Florida picture-perfect postcard - and I say this as a Floridian of 45 years. Beautiful house right across a small street to a private dock where you can relax and watch a rocket launch if you're lucky! Adorable town minutes away (catch a play at the historic playhouse) with delish dining and charming shops. Bed is comfy, kitchen is beyond adorable; a mid-century modern dream. Living room was super comfy and inviting. Our favorite was the shower room. Yes, room! My husband and I have talked about returning every week since we got home; we are checking the playhouse and SpaceX schedules regularly! Really can't say enough about this beautiful, classic Florida home. Loved our stay.

Idyllic Cottage

We just returned from such a fabulous weekend trip to the Hummingbird Cottage! We decided at the last minute to take a road trip and Mark was so accommodating! Check in couldn't have been smoother and the location is top notch. We took the kayaks out one day and loved it! We also loved sitting on the dock at happy hour! The cottage was super clean and so charming! We cooked in both nights. The kitchen is small, but had everything we needed to prepare our meals. A short walk into Cocoa Village. We can't wait to return!
