This recently renovated, oceanfront penthouse is located in Kona at the Kona Bali Kai complex. Watch surfers cutting through the waves, turtles gliding in the shallows or whales spouting (in season) from the privacy of your own lanai. With views from both the living and master bedroom, you can relax your days away from the couch or bed. Imagine waking up to the lull of ocean waves at your feet every morning and enjoying sunset dinners on the water’s edge. Truly paradise on the Big Island.

Our condo has been renovated as of 07/2019. The fully-equipped kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances and cookware, and we also have new furnishings for your enjoyment.

Enjoy the island sun but ready to cool down? Our home also has AC to keep you chill during your stay.*

When you're ready to snooze, relax in comfort in our King bed in the master bedroom or Queen bed in the guest bedroom. Need more sleeping space? Our brand new sleeper sofa pulls out to a queen sized bed.

For your convenience, we also provide a cooler and beach towels to take on your adventures through the Big Island.

Great experience

This condo has amazing views! We watched whales swim across the ocean and turtles swimming up to the little beach from the balcony! The owner had great communication! The location was perfect. We would stay here again!

Great location, right on the beach, quiet. Can hear the waves from the bedroom, very soothing. Place was clean, had everything you needed. Loved sitting on the balcony, excellent condo.

Incredible Stay

Our stay here could only be described as incredible! The unit was beautifully updated, very clean and had a good amount of space. The views from our Lanai were breathtaking! We would wake up in the morning and have coffee on the balcony while watching the waves which were right in front of us. We would watch the surfers while sipping on nice Kona Coffee. The resources of the place were great. In one of the closets they had snorkeling gear that we used and the beach equipment and chairs were very helpful. This place was gorgeous and we highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good stay in Kailua Kona! Would love to come back!

THE VIEW

The condo has recently been renovated and was very clean and well equipped with everything you need.It is perfectly located on the top floor in the middle of the building with the elevator very close.We never used the air conditioning because we left the sliders open so there was always a slight breeze and we could hear the waves crashing right below. The view and sunsets were spectacular. My only regret was we didn’t stay here longer. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Quiet Oceanview

The condo was in great shape and very clean. Air conditioning was nice in the evening but the ocean breeze was lovely all day. Everything we needed for a week was there…beach chairs and umbrella were so handy! The view and sound of ocean at night was everything you would want from an Oceanside rental. The complex was quiet and parking easy. Not much beach to sit on right outside the condo, but spent hours enjoying the ocean from the private deck. Sunset every evening was a highlight. 100% recommend this condo for a relaxing place to stay on the Big Island!!!

Fantastic View!

We loved our stay. The lanai is the best for sure. Watching surfers from sun up to sun down, an occasional turtle in the tide pools, and the most amazing sunsets. The condo has everything you need. Most appreciated are the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler! The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked a few meals there and had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Enjoyed the location on the ocean with great views and relaxing sounds from the wave action! Clean and inviting condo with plenty of room for two people. Amenities were good and parking friendly.

Amazing views

Our second time renting with these owners (last year Kauai) and again it was a well-equipped, well-decorated unit. Everything you might need was provided. Cleanliness is really an issue for me and this was a very clean unit. The location I found to be ideal, away from the bustle of the town, but close enough for easy access. You have your choice of several nearby beaches. Highly recommend.

The View!

We had a fabulous time in Kona! The condo is beautiful and the view is fantastic! The bed in the primary bedroom was probably the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Communication with the owners was great. I would definitely stay here again in the future! Mahalo for having us!

Another Amazing ocean-side stay

This is our second stay at this property and it was as amazing as the last. Ocean front property with a straight down look at some of the most amazing views. We took a whale watching tour (mid-late Dec) this visit and the boat parked out right out front of this condo for checking out the whales and dolphins so keep your eyes out there! Condo is amazing and well appointment, hosts are great communicators and easy to work with. Would stay at this or another one of their properties again as we see more islands.

Terrific!

Amazing view (saw a pod of dolphins swim by, two sea turtles swam in the rocks right below, and a third crawled up onto the beach), fully stocked, including beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels, brilliant communication with the host, and a perfect location. All in all, a terrific stay! 🏝️ Highly, highly recommend!!

Beautiful property

Great location, easy 5 min drive from downtown Kona and quick access up to Holualoa for a wedding we attended. We will absolutely book this property again in the future - super clean, updated and the beach down below was perfect for an easy beach day. Really appreciated the use of chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc. The pool at Kona Bali Kai leaves a bit to be desired and the exhaust from the AC unit on the patio makes the balcony for the unit super hot, but it’s worth it to have AC inside the unit :) a great stay and can’t wait to return!

The place is like a dream!

Beautiful oceanfront retreat

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful oceanfront retreat. The views off the balcony & even from the bed were absolutely breathtaking - especially at sunset. We even saw dolphins our first morning! The condo was clean, spacious & well-equipped with beach essentials (chairs, umbrella, coolers, towels, etc.) as well as household essentials (toiletries, condiments, spices for cooking, etc.) which really came in handy for us when our airline lost our luggage! We loved having access to in-unit laundry as well. The condo’s location was convenient for a quick Uber into downtown for dinner/drinks also. We would gladly stay again! Mahalo!

Home in Hawaii

Fantastic property with the best location. We really enjoyed the view from the patio and watching the surfers in the morning. The condo was updated and clean. All the amenities that you could ask for plus covered and easy parking. The owners were readily available and great to work with! We will be back!

Perfect Balcony View

This was our first trip to the Big Island and four days was not nearly enough time to experience all it had to offer. The condo was nicely updated and provided the most incredible views of the ocean and sunsets. Pictures do not do justice to the views from the balcony. Owners were very responsive to our needs, as was the property manager that stopped out to give us additional towels/bedding. Resort itself is small which allowed for a quiet and relaxing stay. Covered parking was also provided. Mahalo for a wonderful experience. Looking forward to coming back to explore more of the island.

Great Oceanfront View, Great Location

Condo is clean, comfortable and up to date. View is spectacular with surfers out there every morning. It’s also away from the crowds in Kailua-Kona but close enough for an easy drive to restaurants and shopping. Really nice!

We both grew up enjoying all of the sites, flavors and culture of Hawaii with our families, and now that we have a family of our own, we wanted to share our love of the Aloha spirit with our daughter. We can’t wait to watch her fall in love with the island as much we have.

We fell in love with the unit itself for the breathtaking views. With the master bedroom along the lanai, we fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean at our feet. This is truly our slice of paradise.
