Hosted rental permit #231268. Own entrance, ocean view from yard and bed. Hot tub is available for an extra fee. It is next to the Sunroom on the 3rd floor of the home. There is also a BBQ, firepit, lounging areas, tables. Your beach studio has a private covered patio with a refrigerator, and coffee maker. Nice quiet neighborhood. Beach access is 6 to 8 blocks away on Beachgate Way. The stairs will lead you to the State Beach. You can walk or drive. Free parking is by the stairs leading to the beach. When you first arrive, park in the driveway. Your studio is behind the brown gate to the left. I will leave the key in the studio door for you if you tell me around the time of your arrival. No other visitors are guests are allowed, security deposit may be withheld. When you first inquire about the studio, please tell me a bit about yourself or your situation. Your studio yard has seating and a BBQ for your use only. Washer and dryer upon request, or anything else you may need, ice, more coffee, etc. just ask!! Early check-in or late check-out is $20. an hour.

If you would like to save on water: 3 minutes prior to your shower press the button to the Right of the shower. It should take about 15 seconds for the hot water to come on. If you do not want to save on water ignore this message. The hot water will take about 40 seconds to come on. Noise ordinance, quiet hours, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Emergency evacuation: go to the front of property to the street.

Aptos studio with outdoor kitchen

Lovely view studio unit with outdoor kitchen in Aptos Very.artsy and whimsical decor. Host is very sweet and communicative. Nice area away from the crowds but still close to everything that Santa Cruz has to offer.

HEAVEN ON A HILLSIDE

Driving up to the house I knew this was going to be amazing. Gorgeous and very unique home! You enter through a bold yet beautiful artsy gate. The groundsare spectacular. We stayed in the bungalow in the back of the house. After walking through a few adorable gates and a very fun display of local art and mermaid statues youare hit with a spectacular view of the ocean. Like unbelievable views in all directions. Loung chairs, observation table and chairs right on the fence line. We were there quite a bit. In the evening we enjoyed sitting around a big fire pit. Now for the indoors. Now this was right up my alley. Bohemian meets artsy and a bit of african art. Gorgeous decor, drapes and a FABULOUS bathroom. Artysy tiled tub and and shower reminded me of a lagoon. A special thank you gift in a basket from our gracious hostess. This place had everything inside and out you could possibly need. If you forgot something, it was there. We will be back forever. I wish! Thank you, Tom & Suzi King

A magical escape

Our hostess was attentive to our needs --including a welcoming sign, and assistance with operating the barbecue and fire pit.Beautiful gardens , incredible ocean view and sound of the ocean contributed to a wonderful dinner on the large backyard patio.The house was easily accessible but the studio and patio had a sense of seclusion.We were in a wonderful quiet place of art, color and nature .Many thanks to our hostess.

Beautiful and peaceful

Thank you for the stay with the amazing views overlooking the ocean. The studio was decorate so cute as well and it was super peaceful to stay here. My honey Ayasha was craving cheesecake and we opened the fridge and there was a delicious blueberry cheesecake there. Thank you for adding the special touches to the room before our arrival. We would 100% stay here again in the future!

5 Year Anniversary Trip

My partner and I reserved this studio from Jeanell for our 5 year anniversary and if we had to use 1 word to describe the experience and location it would be: Enchanting! Jeanell was such a wonderful host, everything from the outdoor patio to the cute kitchenette to the bathroom and bed, you can really tell that every detail was placed with intention. She was incredibly inviting and hospitable, and made our stay magical! She has 2 very cute and friendly dogs who also added a nice charm and warmth to the experience. The studio we stayed in had a breathtaking view of the ocean from our bed and bathroom, and our private yard was spacious and clean, with plenty of areas to lounge and soak in the sun. The rooftop hot tub area was one of our favorite locations, offering a 360* view of the ocean and beach. This was a trip of a lifetime and one we will certainly not forget, and we look forward to staying here again!

Nice Little Studio

The place was a nice little studio. It was very cozy. The location is top notch. To be able to take ten steps and have sweeping ocean views was amazing. It was so lovely to watch the sun set at one end of the bay and rise on the other. Falling asleep to the gentle sound of crashing waves was so peaceful. The walls are thin but everyone was respectful and kept things quiet. If you're looking for a night or two by the beach, this is the place for you!

ideal staycation

Gracious host who truly wants guest to relax and enjoy their time. Great view. Comfortable bed. Firepit with wood. Small fridge with snacks & cold drinks,coffees & teas. Decent wifi and smart TV for those of us that can't completely disconnect from tech. Just restful and relaxing all around.

The views were just breathtaking! The room itself was nice but we found ourselves in the yard the entire time soaking up the ocean views. Would definitely go back again!

Loved Our Stay!

My husband and I spent two glorious weeks at Jeanell’s and loved every minute of it! Jeanell was the consummate host, immediately available and responsive if we had a question or needed anything, but completely unobtrusive. We couldn’t get over the panoramic views of the ocean, spent many mornings enjoying coffee on the huge patio. King-sized bed was super comfy. Lots of nearby great restaurants. Wonderful stay. Trip Away.

Very cluttered and was underneath the house? The bed was very uncomfortable. Fortunately we only needed for one night. Not much to do in the area and you have to pay to go to the beach. Odd?

This listing was better than you can imagine. The view is surreal it’s so beautiful. The host Jeanell really puts in effort to ensure her guests have a great stay. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing views of the ocean

This property was the nicest that I have ever stayed! The balcony overlooking the ocean was absolutely incredible and you can hear the waves while you fall asleep. The owner was so thoughtful in putting little extra amenities in the room to make it really feel like home, and she even left me a gift basket! I also loved the decor and the hottub upstairs. Everything was so lovely. It was a little windy and cold at times, but that's NorCal I suppose haha. I hope to go again someday!

Unique! Beautiful view of ocean.

Loved the ocean view. The setup with refrigerator, table& chairs outdoors and microwave in inconvenient spot didn’t work for us. Also a single wooden chair does not work for 2 guest.

Brief but lovely stay

We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed Jeanell's funky and fun studio. We appreciated some amenities that made it extra cozy - a small fireplace, robes, glassware, and a coffee station. One thing to note - we didn't actually use the shower but there are special instructions to heat the water so just make sure to read and follow them. We only stayed one night and wished we'd had more time to enjoy the patio and ocean view, and maybe even reserve the hot tub! Next time! Thanks, Jeanell!

Visit to Monterey Bay

Deborah & I had to cancel a long-planned kayak trip in British Columbia due to both ending up covid positive in the week before departure. During recovery we decided to kayak in Monterey Bay for a week. This Aptos vrbo was a truly wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable & set beautifully high above the beach. Great outdoor terrace for views of sunsets. The host provided everything we could possibly need. We will definitely stay there again.

If I could live here, I would

Great place. Jeanelle was awesome and went way beyond to ensure the stay was unique and luxe. The view was awesome, the ocean rolling was the best tranquilizer ever, the place was clean as could be, the amenities were complex and comprehensive. Really recommend this place.
