Now is your chance to stay in a great two bedroom two bath home priced at a reasonable rate without missing out on the great amenities and opportunities a vacation rental has to offer. Just off the front door is a large deck with a full patio table and chairs to seat four. Great views of Rio Del Mar Beach. On the first floor there is a full bathroom with a newly remodeled bathroom and bedroom with a full sliding door giving you additional access from this room directly to the deck. Both bedrooms and stairway have plush carpeting and the remainder of the house has new Pergo style hardwood floors. There are fantastic vaulted ceilings as well as stainless steel appliances and beautifully crafted white kitchen cabinets. There is an additional patio just off of the kitchen as well.

Please ask for Holiday rates and minimum stay requirements.

It is great for a place to just sleep and shower. If you are looking to relax or hang this place may miss that mark. It could use some deep cleaning and updated pillows and mattress. There were not enough towels or pillows I would bring if you could. The neighbors are very very close to you. You can hear/see them from the main bedroom /bath. They have dogs and are up early.

Great location. We were slightly disappointed with the communication and the lack of salt/pepper and condiments. The drier was very squeaky and there was no detergent. The parking is for 1 car - no space for 2. Otherwise very clean

Great Location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was in a great location. Although there were no ocean views, the beach was a short walk away. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed. Cute layout and very spacious kitchen. The only issue with the rental was the mattresses. Both mattresses were extremely thin with no extra cushion and no box spring. The stay would have been perfect had the mattresses been upgraded. More than a few nights on those mattresses was unthinkable. I'd recommend this property just based on the location, cleanliness and property management but I would insist anyone staying bring a thick mattress pad to compensate for what is available.

We enjoyed our stay. Bailey mngt Co. was great to work with. Walkability to the beach was very nice. Closeness to Santa Cruz was great.

I was disappointed with our stay. When we arrived, the house was not clean, we had to leave so the cleaner could come in. Several maintenance issues made the stay uncomfortable: the downstairs shower head barely worked and sprayed above everyone’s head, the upstairs shower had very low water pressure, and the dryer (located in the downstairs bedroom) made a loud screeching noise that prevented us from using it while in the house. The downstairs bedroom closet was unusable because it was filled with a futon mattress and stacked tables, leaving no space for our belongings. Many vertical blinds on the slider/front door were broken or missing.While the kitchen itself was clean, the dining area was difficult to use—only four chairs were accessible because the bench was blocked by the couch and coffee table. The upstairs slider, which is the only way to get airflow into the main living area, was also blocked by the couch and had to be moved each time we opened it. The balcony off the kitchen was covered in spider webs and debris, and the tree limbs hung so low we had to duck to step outside. The slider was extremely dirty and hard to see through. The upstairs bedroom was comfortable, but the entire house had only five hangers available.Overall, the location was nice, but the home needs significant maintenance to provide a comfortable stay. There were also several holes in the walls from missing décor, and the home would benefit from fresh paint and updated décor throughout.

Dangerous and Shabby

Fire dept came out when the carbon monoxide alarm went off; discovered the fire/smoke alarms were several years out of date; black ants in the kitchen; smelly carpet; no comfortable chairs; in general too plain and nothing to say "Welcome, we're glad you are here."The Location was the best.

Getaway

This place is pretty much as advertised. The only down side was that there is only one uncomfortable small couch to sit on in the livingroom, the other option is to sit at the diningroom table. If you are a young couple on the go and not spending much time here other than to cook, eat and sleep, this place is great.

Good proximity to beach and coffee shop

The house is nice and quirky. However finding the entrance and opening of the sliding door was challenging. It is pity that the nice big terrace is not adjacent to the living room and we couldn’t use the balcony by the kitchen due to the overgrowth of the giant ferns 😅

Property review

The location of the property everything was lovely. My only concern was the furniture was not comfortable. It’s staging furniture. There’s no longevity sitting ? Not comfortable other than that it a nice property suggestions, comfortable couch and a chair for television watching sitting to be visiting .

Visit from UK

Great location. Walking distance from the beach and amenities. Can't fault it, really good. However, the property feels outdated, had an 80s vibe, and on arrival it smelled musty. Kitchen area was well equipped, but one of the bedrooms could do with some storage space and a mirror, as we struggled with storage. Bathrooms were fine, but again in need of modernising especially the showers. We enjoyed our stay but, unfortunately didn't match our expectations as we were expecting a little luxury as it wasn't cheap.

Killer Little Beach House!

Overall the stay was just what we needed! The house upon arrival was a little dirty so we did have to clean and for peace of mind wash all the linens provided. However, when I notified the property managers they were amazing in getting us what we needed. The homeowner has lots of no sand in the house signs so make sure to utilize the hose next to the first landing of the stairs. Aptos is a Gem and we definitely will be using Bailey Property Management again in the future. Make sure to go to the Aquarium and El Cantaro for lunch! If you like local beers and good food in Aptos we came to love a new establishment called Churchill & Beers Happy Beaching!

The lower level smelled of mildew & mold The lower level bed was poor. I fell through the bed & I weigh 115 lbs There were only a few towels & wash cloths & they were of poor quality. One person slept on the uncomfortable sofa because the odor was so bad downstairs There was blood on a blanket

Good location, wierd layout

This property was close to the beach, but very poorly laid out. You went up a flight of stairs to reach the deck, which is where the main entrance was. Then you entered on the lower floor, which is where there was a bedroom and tiny bathroom, and you had to walk up narrow stairs to the next floor to reach the living area. The furniture was not particularly comfortable, but there was a nice kitchen. Temperature regulation was a problem; the bottom bedroom tended to be much colder than upstairs, and the entire living space was quite musty-smelling. We had to leave the windows open to get that smell out of the house, which tended to make it pretty cool inside. That being said, it did meet our needs.

Everything was ready when we arrived. Short walk to the beach for sunrises and sunsets. Good walking paths once you get to the beach, even for a walker! Glad there were Duna's. Tub/ shower bathroom could use grab bars

Nice property

Very good location, close to the beach, quiet neighborhood. Nice property, spacious and clean. Kitchen is equipped with everything that is needed for a short stay. Great heater, works very quick, the nights were chilly, but heater helped a lot. The only thing that was not very good is that the water in the master bathroom sink drains very slowly. Overall is very good, highly recommended.
