Summary:
This quaint pet-friendly beach home offers a getaway for up to 6 guests in the beautiful Capitola - steps away from the beach! Inside, you'll find a cozy bedroom, a versatile family room transformed into a sleeping haven, 1.5 bathrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, living room, & a spacious patio.

This house was previously a smoking home, & while efforts have been made to eliminate odors, a residual smell still lingers. Please ensure this is something you’re comfortable with before booking.

The Space:
- Comfortably sleeps up to 6 adults
- 1 bedroom with a queen size bed + a family room that has been converted into a sleeping area with a king bed and a bunk-bed (full size & twin mattress)
- 1.5 bathrooms
- 1 parking space in the garage + paid street parking available
- Fully stocked kitchen w/ Keurig coffee maker
- Living room
- Back patio with Traeger Grill
- For safety, the fireplace is not operable.

Note:
- No gatherings or parties allowed (strictly enforced)
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
- Smart TVs with streaming capabilities (no local channels or cable).
- This home is pet friendly for 1 dog (30 lbs or less) for a $25/night fee. This fee will be added after the booking is confirmed and the initial booking is paid for -- Let us know if you want to bring your Dog! We are not able to host any other types of pets at this home.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house, including a washer, dryer and a garage parking space for one car. Please note there is not room for a car to park in the driveway.

Capitola is a coastal jewel in Santa Cruz County. This charming seaside village is known for its colorful beachfront houses, coastal boutiques, and fantastic dining options. With a relaxed atmosphere, Capitola is a paradise for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts. Stroll along the picturesque Capitola Beach and explore the unique shops and eateries. The city's scenic beauty, combined with a vibrant community, creates a perfect beachfront destination. Plus, its proximity to Santa Cruz offers easy access to the Boardwalk and additional attractions, making Capitola a delightful coastal retreat.

Getting Around:
With your own parking space you can easily park your car upon arrival and enjoy the rest of the trip by foot!

- Whole Foods, New Leaf, and Safeway (3-6 minute drive)
- Downtown Santa Cruz and the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (15-20 minute drive North)
- The Monterey Bay Aquarium (50 minute drive South)

Other Things to Note:
- The Capitola Wharf is being repaired over the next year, so the street area right next to the house is blocked off while the wharf is under construction - this includes the paid parking directly in front of the house. Please note you may encounter constructions vehicles and some noise during your stay.
- Please note that this house was previously a smoking home, and while efforts have been made to eliminate odors, a residual smell still lingers. Please ensure this is something you’re comfortable with before booking. Smoking is not allowed on the property.
- Please also note some of the doorways to the bedrooms are smaller than the standard.
- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

Perfect spot to relax
Capitola area is perfect for a walkable little beach get away. This place is poised just out of view of the ocean but you can hear the waves through open windows. You can see the ocean from back deck but not easily. The home is spacious and very clean. Lovely stay!

Great Location But not for the Disabled or Seniors
O'Neal Vacation Rentals, Dear O'Neal Vacation Rentals, Dear O'Neal Vacation Rentals, The information you provided in your email is incorrect. Your repair person, Reed, who was sent to fix the heaters, informed us that one of the heaters is still not functioning, and the other was not even plugged in. We believe expecting the tenants to be aware of such issues is unreasonable. Also, you already knew about the problem, as you placed two space heaters in the living room and the other in the back bedroom. When we turned on the heaters at around 5 am, the power went off in the unit. Fortunately, we had flashlights and could search for the electrical box in the dark. Please address these issues promptly and provide a satisfactory resolution. As seniors, my husband is disabled, and this location is excellent for us. However, many problems need to be addressed. The electrical plugs in the unit are old, mostly loose, and unusable. Additionally, the shower/tub issue is unreasonable for tenants to be asked to change if it goes from hot to cold water. It was ridiculous, and we couldn't take showers. You should be able to post a note on Vrbo indicating that this location is unsuitable for seniors; we only had to take sponge baths. Yesterday afternoon, they did repair the wall. Unit in the bedroom, thank you. The kitchen was perfect and well-stocked. The bottom line is we had a bad experience with O'Neal rentals; indeed, your other properties are better than this one.

The location was perfect. The price was great. The house is old and I think it would be worth raising the rental price to afford to modernize the house.
