🏝Relax Shack Brand New Listing OBX Surf Sunsets

A lovely beach house located on a quiet cul-de-sac just across the street from the beach. Decorated with cool beach vides w/ all brand new furniture in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. The beach is across the cross walk just a 1/2 mile away with free public parking. The sound is a half mile away as well with a beautiful walk/bike path that takes you directly to the Wright Brother's Memorial or you can see sunsets at the gazebo. We have a porch and full back yard w/ and outdoor shower.
The space
We have 2 bedrooms. A king size bedroom and a queen size bedroom that also has an additional queen couch bed in the living room. All beds and furniture are brand new! We have a lovely tropical bathroom with a tub and shower. Full kitchen equipped with everything you need to make a nice meal. Washer and dryer available in the bottom level with soap provided. A fenced back yard and a secure upper deck with locked gates.
The upper deck and the back yard are joined together with a gate on the upper deck that you can leave opened so your pet can enjoy the deck and walk down the stairs to the fenced back yard. Very quite street with a full driveway that has room to bring your boat. Free launch and boat ramp located 1/2 mile on the sound. The grocery store is just around the corner with many local restaurants and cool shops close by.
Guest access
Plenty of parking for up to 2 cars and room for your boat if you don't bring that many cars. You can walk to the beach, the sound, Food Lion, Publix, and several restaurants.
We allow up to 2 pets. First pet is $50 and the 2nd pet is $50. Please message us with details of your pet and their behavior once you book. Thank you!!!
The bottom level of the house is occupied by a very good friend of ours. She is very nice and quiet. She is gone most of the time working. She has a complete separate entrance and does not use the upper level in any way and does not use the back yard. Therefore, the rental of the house, the yard, and the deck is completely accessible to you only as the VRBO guests.

House was cute, well-stocked, and just what we needed for a stop on our way to Ocracoke. Host was friendly & very responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here!

It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet. We were there to visit relatives - my only complaint was that it was alittle farther from the beach than I expected but otherwise a very nice stay.

For future guests, the beach access is approximately 0.4 miles from the home ~ about a two-minute drive ~ and the Albemarle Sound is about 0.5 miles away. Our home is located on a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac in this narrow part of the Outer Banks, where guests can easily enjoy both the ocean side and beautiful sunsets over the sound. It was a pleasure hosting you!

This property had everything we needed. It was very accommodating to our dog with a great deck that connected to a fenced in back yard. It was close to the beach. The hosts were very communicative and really pleasant. Highly recommended

The property we satyed in was one of the better of this style we have stayed in. Everything we needed was there. Unfortnately for our style it turned out to be too far from the beach. That may not be a detriment to a small family with younger children.It was easy to get to eating establishments, which we found a few. The heat and humidity were a bit overwhelming but we knew that. There is nothing I needed from this place, I did not have. I will not deduct for our not knowing what we wanted when we signed up.

Very clean and centrally located in KDH. Comfortable space, kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and the porch and outdoor space are very nice. Dogs loved the backyard access from the patio and Amber and Brett were very responsive and welcoming!

How easy it was to relax at the Relax Shack!! Amber and Brett really care about making their guests and their pets feel right at home. They take such good care of their property. The home was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Beds and sofa were so comfy. The fenced back yard was perfect for the dog. Nice bikes were available to use and bike path is so close. Neighborhood is quiet and is centrally located to walk or ride to the sound or the beach. Also, easy to take day trips to other parts of OBX. We enjoyed experiencing their suggestions!! Would definitely stay here again for a future trip!!

The property was just what we needed! Family of three (2 boys 17 & 13) plus a 50lb dog. Great size backyard for the dog to get acclimated and feel relaxed. The space inside was just what we needed to relax after a long day. We forgot some items and luckily they were already at the house for us to enjoy. However, theres a Food Lion a couple blocks away just in case! The house was a couple more blocks to the beach than what I would have liked, however, it was perfect for tiring out my dog who needs to be walked daily. And Amber left a listing of blocks where there was public parking for the beach. The public parking was about two blocks further than our street, and as long as you get there early its easy to get a parking spot. The homes close to a couple great restaurants, mini golf, and the Wright Brothers Memorial. All and all it was a great trip for the price and location! Thank you!

Our stay at the Relax Shack came during an unexpected heatwave. Having this comfy, spacious two-bedroom house allowed our 21 year old daughter, our dog, and US to spread out and chill out without getting on each others nerves. The house provided everything needed to prepare our meals and the large deck was lovely-when we managed to avoid the heat. I picked up a nail in my tire and asked our hosts, Amber and Brett for suggestions for a reliable garage to repair/replace it. They suggested a place only a few miles away and we were able to resume our vacation. Communication couldn't have been better. They are really lovely people!

This property is absolutely perfect, especially if you are traveling with your pets. The easy, secure access they have to get from the deck to the privacy fenced backyard allowed you to sit and relax while they romp around. The inside is very bright and so clean, and they thought of everything to provide to make your stay seamless and easy packing because it’s all there. We enjoyed walking the dog down to the walking trail on the water every morning, it’s so safe a quiet. The house is centrally located to everything with plenty of great restaurants just blocks away. Amber and Brett were amazing hosts, their quick response to questions and just overall communication with check in and recommendations was definitely top notch. This is a little hidden gem and a great vacation value. You will love your stay at Relax Shack!!

Property was as described, in a great location. Walking distance to many places but centrally located for whole OBX touring. Great yard for our dog; we appreciated the dog friendly environment. Owners were very responsive to all questions.

We had a great time here. The house was wonderful! Comfy and clean, stocked with everything we needed. The area is great with lovely beaches and great food. We will definitely be staying here again if we take another trip to the OBX.

Fabulous stay!

It had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Our Labrador had full access to the yard 24/7. The hosts were extremely accommodating, responsive and nice.
