Wonderful Stay

The property is wonderful with everything you need to have a relaxing beach vacation. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

Perfect setup for traveling with furbabies

The Isle of Dogs cottage was super clean, bright, and airy upon arrival. The large, fully fenced backyard setup was perfect for the dogs, with a poop disposal station, bags, and clean up tools. Isle of Dogs has water and food bowls, extra leashes, a large crate already set up, treats ready on the counter and other thoughtful touches such as towels and dog shampoo. The outdoor shower hose was great for cleaning sandy feet and paws. Everything you would need for pets is right there. Slip covers were already on the furniture, even though we brought our own throw blanket just in case. Our 2 little dogs settled in immediately and had a great time. We even had the Google Nest play relaxing music for them during the time they were in the crate while we ran to the grocery store. Roberta has thought of everything. The cottage location is perfect. It is on a beach access street with the supermarket and restaurants all nearby. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, with good streets for biking. We had a wonderful stay.

Our pups loved it!

As described … a quick walk to the beach and nearby restaurants that are dog friendly. Spacious backyard for the dogs to play. Convenient amenities for our pups with crates, bowls, etc.

Perfect spot for humans and canines!

This is my second visit to Isle of Dogs and it did not disappoint. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and in the perfect location. It is convenient to everything. At check-in the house was immaculate and the host left treats for the dogs. The yard is fabulous safe and private. I highly highly recommend this property for your Oak Island visit.

Isle of Dogs is a special place.

I think I just had my 6th or 7th stay at Isle of Dogs. Roberta is an outstanding host. Everything you need is there. She has thought of every detail. Lovie had such a fun time in the back yard. I’ll be back.

Great place to stay for a getaway with your dogs.

This was my second time staying at Idle of Dogs. It is in a great location on Oak Island. Very clean, plenty of space in the house for dogs and their humans. The backyard is wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet and a quick car ride to the beach or walk. We will definitely visit again.

Wonderful weekend with the pups.

The Isle of Dogs was a great place to stay with your pups for a beach trip. The house is located in a great area on the island, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The back yard is so big and great for the dogs to roam freely and play. We will be back. It was a fun weekend and so easy to get to the beach from the house.

Isle of Dogs, a great place in a great location that continues to be the perfect vacation spot for us.

Isle of Dogs is the perfect space for our family vacation. A spacious,clean house with all the amenities you need, and super dog friendly with a large enclosed backyard. My family and our dog feel very much at home here. Very convenient location with beach and grocery store a short walk away. Just an ideal spot which we love coming back to every year. Thank you Roberta!

Location, Clean & Dog Friendly!

Isle of Dogs is a dream for dog owners. The fenced back yard has space for plenty of zoomies, a fire pit, hammock, area for outdoor dining, and even a shower. Inside is nicely decorated and clean with all the comforts of home. Everything we needed was there, and it's just a quick drive to the beach with easy parking. Food and stores nearby. Highly recommend!

Great Isle of Dogs

Isle of Dogs is equipped with more amenities than any rental we have experienced - for both humans and dogs! Attention to detail is extensive; communication is prompt, accurate, friendly, and helpful. We love the yard and the location. Many thanks for a restful, beautiful, and memorable stay. Oak Island makes our dogs SO happy!

Wonderful Stay!

Isle of Dogs is a wonderful place to get away with your pups!! We have stayed here several times over the last 3 years and always enjoy the relaxing peace and quiet getaway Isle of Dogs provides. Roberta goes out of her way to make everything extra special… the large fenced in backyard, the fire pit, the closeness of the beach, shops and restaurants make it a great location. The house is filled with many conveniences for your pups!! We love it here and will continue to come back to vacation with our pups. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic Stay

The property is welcoming for families with fury family members. This rental made it very easy to accommodate our 2 dogs. The fenced in backyard, the crates on site and the outdoor shower were all bonuses for us traveling with our dogs. We were close to the beach, dog friendly restaurants and dog park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, neat, and dog friendly. We will definitely return.

A Must For Dog Lovers

If you want to vacation with your dogs on Oak Island, this is the place. It is perfectly set up for you and your fur babies, with all the necessities you could need. The backyard is amazing, even has a fire hydrant! Isle of Dogs was incredibly clean- beyond expectations, with great kitchen amenities as well as yard and beach accoutrements. The location is perfect, you are able to walk to restaurants, Publix, the beach, etc... I cannot say enough good things and am looking forward to going back!

Great stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cute property! The property was very clean, cozy, and organized. The many special touches provided such as the tote bag, dog treats, crates and bowls made our vacation special. We enjoyed the fire pit and watching Bulleit the puppy play. The fence is very secure and safe. Communication with Roberta was clear and detailed. We will be back in May!

Relaxing

We throughly enjoyed our stay at IOD’s. It was perfect, no carpet, fenced in yard, kennels, dog bowls, low beds, all we had to bring for the fur babies was their food. And the human enjoyed the bikes, very comfortable beds, deck, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen… The location was perfect, steps from the beach and inter coastal waterway. Convenient to all the restaurants and Southport. Can’t wait till next time!

Great stay at ISLE of Dogs

We had a great stay. The is well maintained and setup perfectly. The beach is very close abd you could walk if you wanted too. We decided to do the weekly parking. Lots of restaurants close by. Titan had a good time. We used the charcoal grill food turned out good. To hot to do the fire pit. Went to Myrtle Beach and Wilmington for day trips. Highly recommend staying here

We returned for another visit, and truly enjoyed our time here. It is such a gift to be able to bring the dogs to the beach. We really enjoyed using the fire pit this time! Roberta is an outstanding host, always checking in and making sure that our stay is comfortable. Also, this home is SUPER clean. Kudos to their cleaning team. we'll be back. Thanks again!

Peaceful and very pup-friendly

My sister-in-law raved about Isle of Dogs so much I had to book a trip. She, I and her daughter along with my two-year-old Westie and her three-year-old rescue had a WONDERFUL visit. The house was very clean and quite accommodating. We all enjoyed the big backyard, fire pit, front porch rockers and all the beautiful azaleas—so pleasant. I can say for certain that we will be back. Thank you Roberta for all the extras (dog treats, games, and well-stocked kitchen—although a cheese grater would be a nice addition.

Absolutely Wonderful

This house was perfect.The house was clean and very nicely decorated. It has everything you need to unpack and start your vacation. Our dogs loved the shaded backyard and were so happy to be able to hang with us and enjoy the beautiful weather. Roberta was amazing to work with. She provided things to do and was always checking in to make sure everything was good and we had everything we need. I would definitely recommend to all the dog families looking for a place just like home.

A Paw-fect piece of paradise! 🐾☀️

Roberta is a fantastic host! The Isle of Dogs was really clean, cozy, and definitely felt like a home away from home. The cottage has plenty of ammenities for the family, both human and four legged alike. Our kids loved playing board games, swinging on the hammocks, and running around the backyard with our fur-babies. It was a short walk to the beach and was perfect so we didn’t have to contend with parking. The pups had plenty of amenities and goodies at the IoDs too. Overall, Oak Island is a fantastic place for a beach getaway for the entire family and we highly recommend Isle of Dogs. It’s a VERY dog friendly place ❤️🐾

Lovie’s First Adventure to OKI

Lovie and I just returned from a six night stay at IOD. It was my fifth stay, but it was Lovie’s first. She absolutely loved it! I had taken Scout four times before she crossed the rainbow bridge. We walked the beach and stayed hours and hours in the backyard. It’s so nice to sit around the fire pit. As always, I wished we could stay longer! OKI is a special place. I know I will be back for a 6th stay. Lois

Isle of Dogs gives new meaning to “dog friendly”

Isle of Dogs was wonderful! It’s the perfect place to stay with pups. My two girls had an amazing time walking to the beach every day, and I loved the ability to wash them in the outdoor shower with the provided dog shampoo then dry them with the provided dog blow dryer. Even after a week at the beach, I think they left cleaner and better groomed than when they arrived. Roberta was a wonderful host, and it’s clear that there is thoughtful attention to every detail that ensures this is not just a place that’s “dog friendly” but truly “dog loving.” I’ve never stayed anywhere like it, and it’s so nice to be able to bring the dogs to enjoy their vacation too! Can’t wait to come back.
