Before we booked, we read the reviews and I would highly recommend renting this condo. The beach front views were excellent. I would definitely come back and Thank you so much for renting to myself, husband, daughter, and granddog. The home was excellent for us, I loved the two elevators, a lot of carts to load and unload plus a pool. Excellent communication with Brett too! Also, your maybe two or three blocks from Walmart.

It is a nice place but the building is under construction with upgrades so its distracting. Very clean, water pressure was low but not terrible. It's just across the street from the beach, we enjoyed that very much. 4 out of 5 stars because of construction but a great stay for the money!

It was a great location by the beach. Low activity with not being near the pier was awesome. The building was worn down and the condo needs some attention

Great hosts. This our fourth year to rent from them. Super clean and very welcoming. Gigi, our beagle, enjoyed it, too.

Great location with easy access to the Strand and Tiki Island. Ocean front with wonderful views. Unit has been updated with nice appliances, TVs. The king bed was very comfortable. The complex was quiet. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were very responsive. Unit was very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is that the water pressure in the unit was incredibly low at all taps and the shower

You can't see the road from the picture but it is right under the window and the noise is loud. It isn't a two bedroom, rather a one-bedroom with an uncomfortable couch that folds out in the den. The sockets in the bedroom drop your devices because they need replacing, the toilet runs, the faucet in the bath/shower drips so constantly it has eroded the faucet itself, so no one has fixed it. There was a roach in the living room Saturday night and one of the two elevators was broken, so access to twelve floors of people was severely limited involving long waits in a really hot lobby. A resident told me they are old elevators and the management looks for parts instead of replacing them. The halls are filthy outside the rooms. So no one cleans those. You can stay at a hotel for cheaper that will let you bring a dog. It was just not what it seemed to be in the picture. It has not been tended to. It is a great view of the water and I guess that is why people book but I was disappointed.

Good Condo and location for the money. Not a fan of playing Frogger to get to the beach. Very low water pressure from all water sources…interior could use some professional cleaning and updates/repairs…trim, vents, ceilings could use some love. TV in bedroom would turn on but we couldn’t change the channels. Lack of towels in kitchen and only had 2 shower towels…so bring extra.

Great property! Clean & excellent location. A few small things would make it perfection. An extra blanket for someone sleeping on the sofa. Also, could not figure out how to turn on tv in bedroom. There isn’t an information notebook in the unit, I think that would have been helpful for tv and washer(which is really fancy & unlike any I’ve seen. Overall loved it & would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful experience ad the owners were very helpful! I needed some quiet, quality time to work on a writing project and it was perfect. I brought my dogs and they acted like it was their second home. Quiet and loving spot. The view was just what I had hoped for. I will definitely go back!

Originally from Dallas, Dax and I are proud to call Galveston home. We have two schnauzers, Brody and Brooklyn - and they are happy to be called "Beach Dogs"! In addition to moving our home to the island, I relocated my law practice. It is infinitely more enjoyable drafting wills and handling probate matters sitting on (or at least near) the beach than drafting in an office that overlooks a parking garage.

I made my first visit to Galveston as an adult in 2012. I had a schnauzer, Logan, who I thought needed to see the ocean before he moved on. We stayed at By the Sea on that trip. Logan loved the trip and the beach. He was with me for two more fun trips. Each year we stayed a week and at By the Sea. This condo was our home for several years. For me, there was no question about it - By the Sea was definitely the place for me!

By the Sea - the view. AMAZING! You are spoiled from the minute you walk into our home. There are times when I stand in the kitchen and I flashback to being on a cruise ship at sea. Nothing but water as far as you can see. That is the view from the kitchen sink! The building residents and guests are friendly, and the BTS staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great experience. The location of our condo in the building is perfect. You are able to watch all the activity that is the Seawall... and yet can pier above it and it is a whole different feel. We have a new hurricane rated door that provides excellent insulation. You can slide the door and close out most any noise from outside. Our location is convenient to everything that Galveston has to offer from water parks to amusement parks - to museums and confectionery shops. All minutes away. And the REAL unique benefit......mere steps to the sand and surf.
