Welcome to one of the nicest oceanfront condos on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our corner unit is a two bedroom, two bath (walk-in & shower-tub), oceanfront located near Wright Brothers National Memorial. It's also walking distance to some of the island's best restaurants. If you want relaxation and comfort, the large private balcony offers the sound of the waves and an unobstructed view of the Atlantic.

Loaded with comforts and amenities, First Flight Retreat is not only the finest choice in condos, our unit is well appointed and has the best views on the beach.

Workout facility, pool and game room on premises. The pool typically opens Memorial Day weekend and closes mid-Oct.

Dog friendly for a friendly dog. Pet Beach Time 6PM to 9AM from Memorial Day to Labor Day (Kill Devil Hills mandate); offseason 24x7 pups rule these quiet beaches! For anyone who's scrambled shoeless across the blazing sand in the summer, it makes sense.

Top OBX rental

Communications with the owner were always first rate, easily the best we've had in 40+ yrs of visits to OBX. Unit is on the second floor and the elevator was always clean and in good working order, making moving in and out a breeze, as well as easy beach access. (The building even provides dollies!) Parking spaces are over-sized.The entire east wall of the unit is sliding glass doors onto the balcony which fronts onto the ocean. The balcony is furnished with 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs AND a high-top table with 4 chairs. Great place to just sit and relax. Dunes hide the view of the beach, but also provide plenty of privacy. Kitchen appliances are all up to date, including stacked washer/dryer. Unit is nicely furnished, and bright and airy due to aforementioned east wall. Nice selection of beach reads, games and puzzles. TVs in every room and strong WIFI. Location is great with 3 major supermarkets within a couple of miles, and several eateries and beach shops within walking distance. Definitely would stay there again.

Another amazing stay

This is the second year in a row coming to stay in this condo. We absolutely love everything about it. It’s a comfort to return to the same place knowing where everything is, knowing the condo will be perfectly clean, and that Marilyn is always there online to give us all the information and updates. We have immediate booked our trip for next year! The view, the peacefulness, especially being a corner unit, the food at the local restaurants, never disappoints We saw the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It’s a home away from home that we recommend to everyone we know. Thank you again Marilyn and we can’t wait for next year!

Great quick getaway

This was a wonderful long weekend. The property is very convenient to lots of great restaurants and attractions. Wonderful ocean views when sitting on the balcony!

Great Getaway

We needed some time away from home and this was the perfect place. Very comfortable and nicely appointed. Lovely view of the ocean and so calming. Host was prompt when we asked questions and gave us plenty of info for the surrounding area. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely Condo

The condo was super clean, had everything you could want and included umbrellas and chairs for beach use. The property manager was VERY responsive to our concern about the dryer and it was corrected promptly. Would definitely recommend!

Great Getaway

Everything was very well thought of. From the underneath parking to the extra wide hallways, nothing ever felt crowded. The condo was nicely, decorated and well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Definitely enjoyed the balcony patio every day and evening. The condo was located in a great area of being able to get to restaurants and stores if needed. We would definitely go back.

Perfect Vacation

Condo was exactly as you see in the photos. Clean, the kitchen had everything we needed. I am so thankful we were able to enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony. Morning coffee watching the sun come up over the ocean made for a perfect start to the day. Even saw dolphins one day. The condo was a nice retreat after a long day in the sun, plenty of food options within a short drive or walk. Central location to both ends of the island. We spent one day in Corolla/Corova on the 4x4 beach and the next we went down to Hatteras Point. Dinner and fireworks in Manteo on the 4th. Everything you could want for a relaxing week at the beach. Owner was very quick to respond to the one issue we had. The covered parking was a nice perk. Having such an amazing place to stay to spend our vacation made it that much more relaxing. Thank you M.

Best condo in OBX!!!

We absolutely loved this condo. Marilyn was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The condo was very clean and easy to get in and out of. If we ever get a chance to come back to OBX, this is the first condo we will look for.

Finally a clean rental!!!

We loved our stay. The beach was great. It wasn’t crowded. We got to bring our dog. There’s good places to eat or buy groceries. Best of all…the place was clean and well maintained. You could tell they do upkeep in the building and on the grounds too. We would love to rent there again.

Fantastic beachfront condo

This is a beautiful & well maintained 2 bedroom oceanfront condo. The host is fantastic & we love the location. It’s close to good restaurants, grocery stores & of course right on the beach. I highly recommend it!

The Perfect Condo

We come back to this location & condo every year. The condo is beautiful & clean & meets our needs perfectly. It is ocean front & easy to access. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean view. Also the property host is easy to communicate with and keeps you up to date before your arrival. We love it here!

The pictures on the Vrbo site don’t do this condo justice. It is so nicely decorated. Condo is clean, bright and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. It was exactly what we wanted! I've been enjoying the Outer Banks for thirty years. I truly believe that this is the nicest stretch of beach today and it's close to some of the best restaurants on OBX. If you like the outdoors, besides the great water activities head for Jockey's Ridge for sunset, take a walk through the woods at the Nature Conservancy at Nags Head Woods or go birding at Bodie Island Lighthouse. I hope that you find our place to be fresh, comfortable and as relaxing as we do.
